Well, it's just 1 of 82. Tough to mount a comeback with only 15 skaters, but they made a game of it.

A whole month's worth of injuries on opening night seems like a bad omen and is going to test depth here early in the season.

On the bright side, I thought Roope was the best player on the ice last night. Very encouraging.

In addition to Perry, Comeau, Dickinson, and Polak are all out at least a week. NHL debuts tonight for Caamano & Gardner. Fedun should also be in the lineup. Will be interesting to see who, if anyone, steps up tonight.

What the hell did Benn and Seguin do tonight? This is the 3rd season I've said this, but Benn is a waste of roster and cap space. I can't wait till he's gone.

the blues are the biggest obstacle to any and all success. I hate the way the playoff system is structured..... by divisions. I guess it's almost impossible for the stars to not face the blues until the western conference finals? My point is: In both years that the blues beat us, I think we were actually better than the team the blues played in the western conference finals.

Someday we will have to get the monkey off our backs.
