This year's results don't affect next year's results or final ranking.

USC won in 02 as the 11 seed. Doesn't always matter.

Main thing is to finish in the top 16 so you can play at home.
Of the 15 players that played for us and MSU today 3 were from the US.

Mississippi State never has Americans. They have built an impressive program. Top 25 every single year

Congratulations to the team on getting a #12 seed and hosting. Buffalo. Oregon and Memphis are coming here.
I hope someone fixes the 4 water fountains at the entrance to the Mitchell Tennis Center before we play.

Tennis matches always are closer than a 4-0 final score. We won the first set on 4 courts, but then on courts 1,3,and 5 we were down halfway through each second set before winning them all. Match was decided with 2 wins within 30 seconds of each other. Did the Buffalo guy on court 5 get a warning after complaining about the call in that last game?

Another good win for the men. Pretty favorable draw with UCLA.
Coach Denton has done a really good job this year with this group.

I am told that Gage Bruner , UCLA team captain who plays number one is out of the tournament with an injury. Not sure how big a loss it is for them , but losing Arthur would be tough on us. We will see Thursday I suppose.

Next year will be fascinating. We essentially return the exact same line-up...the question will be will be get better. The influx of one recruit could cause a shift in where folks are playing. Will be fun to see.

Good year, but as usual a disappointing end. Very rarely does this team break through at the end of the season. Not saying it was a bad year, just that this was a match that should be won without UCLA's star player. What else do you want to advance to the quarterfinals to play a team you have already beaten to make the final four?

Yep, UCLA is a one trick pony. Rest of their team sucks, miracle they got to 5 in the country.

UGA upset USC and then beat UCLA 4-2 last night after losing the doubles point and a very long rain delay to advance to the semis. UVA beat tu handily 4-1. OSU beat TCU in a very tight 4-3 match and UNC shocked number 1 seed Wake Forest 4-2.

I know you guys hate me, but as always I tell it like it is. What a great draw to make the final four. History shows that this program just can't break through with the big name programs in the NCAA tournament.

Well you're not really telling us something we don't know there. Obviously, we've never made a breakthrough. We have one quarterfinals ever? Men's college tennis is quite deep. Not many teams can say they've had that breakthrough.
