I honestly can't watch it these days. Just seems like a forced and awkward production of a weekend.

What do you think of hiring Hitchcock back if we do fire Ruff? They have very similar career win %s and paths but Ken did beat Ruff in their only Stanley Cup I believe

If Ruff is fired at the end of the season I think we see a younger almost rebuild type of coaching hire. I don't know if continuing to just funnel through the washed up coaching circuit to find the perfect fit is really the best strategy. It's kind of hilarious how you just see the same coaches pop up on different teams.

Yeah I pretty much agree. If we did happen to go through the funnel though I'd hope it was only for Hitchcock.

Ruff is a loser who has never been able to win it all. He got oh so close one time by riding Hasek's coat tails and hasn't been back to the finals since. Almost 20 years ago. His bad mojo has seeped into the team.

I'll quit saying "fire Ruff" because obviously Nill doesn't have the balls, but if Ruff's contract is renewed I'm giving up on next season.

Yep, good point. Although I don't foresee someone coming in and turning things around that much.

Maybe give the current staff incentives to not win, knowing their asses are gone at the end of the season.

Agreed, a high draft pick won't do too much all things considered but could be even just the slightest positive from an already dreadful season.
