Trisha Ford's Ags jump to No. 8 in ESPN.com/USA Softball Week 1 Poll
After a 4-1 weekend in the Aggie Classic, Texas A&M moved up to No. 8 in the latest ESPN.com/USA Softball Poll. The Aggies made quick work of Providence twice as well as ACU and Utah State, but A&M dropped a competitive contest to No. 1 Texas Tech on Saturday.

In this week's TKO Knockout Performance of the Week, Trisha Ford's duo of Oklahoma State transfers went off at the plate as Tallen Edwards hit .636 with three doubles, and Micaela Wark hit .533 and four homers. Fatmata Janneh also had a double-double in A&M's top-25 win over Alabama.

Early morning win prepares No. 11 A&M for what's ahead
In a Sunday morning ballgame at Davis Diamond, No. 11 Texas A&M improved to 4-1 on the year with an 8-2 triumph over Providence to finish the 2026 Aggie Classic. Ariel Kowalewski recorded three hits, while Tallen Edwards drove in a trio to lead the offense.

'Little things' have big impact in A&M's 3-2 loss to No. 1 Tech
Saturday evening's top-15 showdown lived up to the billing, but No. 11 Texas A&M fell short in a 3-2 loss to No. 1 Texas Tech at Davis Diamond. A costly error allowed the Red Raiders to score an unearned run in the top of the fifth, which proved to be the game-winner.

Munnerlyn fans eight as Edwards notches three hits in Friday win
It's three run-rule victories in as many games to begin the season as No. 11 Texas A&M defeated Providence in six innings on Friday night. Micaela Wark and Tallen Edwards drove in two runs apiece, and starting pitcher Kate Munnerlyn punched out a career-best eight.

TexAgs National Average Rating
The TexAgs National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an
industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes
publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services,
along with a TexAgs rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect,
which is then normalized to fit the TexAgs Rating 100-point scale.
The intent of this rating is to provide TexAgs readers with a comprehensive snapshot of
how individual prospects rank nationally.

TexAgs Rating
The TexAgs Recruiting team of Billy Liucci, David Sandhop, Jason Howell, Ryan Brauninger
and a host of recruiting interns attends more than 75 games each fall and observes and
evaluates every major Texas A&M target, as well as most of the top 150 prospects in the State of Texas.
From this evaluation the team draws a rating for each prospect on a scale between 70 and 100.
99-100: Elite national prospect (Five-star)
Considered one of the best prospects in the nation and a likely difference-maker
at the collegiate level. Displays all of the physical skills to be a future All-American
with potential to be an early-round NFL draft pick.
90-98: Elite state prospect (Four-star)
Considered one of the best 30-40 prospects in the state and a top 250
national prospect. Displays the physical skills to be a major early contributor
at the collegiate level with high professional potential.
80-89: Quality prospect (Three-star)
Considered one of the best 100 prospects in the state and a top 500 national prospect.
Displays the physical skills to develop into a contributor over the course of his college career.
Has the ability to become a professional prospect over time with development.
70-79: Solid prospect (Two-star)
Considered one of the top 250 prospects in the state. Has the physical skills to be a potential
contributor at a D-1 program over the course of his collegiate career with significant development.
Professional potential is low.
