how will it fly? I know it is powered by moving air, but where would it get it's upward thrust? It doesn't have anything to give it lift.

The props can give enough lift? I didn't think they could. I honestly don't know though.
Unless the conveyor influences the airflow it is moot.
If the conveyor belt was so well-designed and lubricated that it made no sound whatsoever, would it be mute and moot?
I'm talking about the lack of air passing over the wings and hitting the flaps to give upward movement. The conveyor eliminates that does it not?

no it can't take off from standstill. the speed of the wheels has nothing to do with the lift.
I see planes take off from a standstill all the time.
