Im sending the link to myth busters...Lets see what they have to say. I guess that the only way to bust the myth that it will not take off.
Assuming a friction coefficient of 0.5, at what angle would a conveyor need to be at in order to overcome the force of gravity and put a person in orbit? Assume the conveyor belt is travelling at 5 meters/second.
