Despite dropping the doubles point, No. 4 seed Texas A&M defeated No. 11 seed USC on Friday afternoon at the Mitchell Tennis Center behind straight-sets victories from Lucciana Perez, Violeta Martinez and Ilinca Amariei before a fluky simultaneous finish clinched a rare 5-1 win.

Despite dropping the doubles point on Sunday afternoon, No. 4 seed Texas A&M was dominant in a second-round triumph over Baylor at the Mitchell Tennis Center. With the 4-1 win, Mark Weaver's Aggies will now host No. 13 seed USC on Friday in Aggieland.

It has been a half-decade of dominance for Mark Weaver and the Texas A&M women's tennis program, securing yet another Southeastern Conference title on Saturday in their regular-season final in Fayetteville. A&M concluded the regular season at 21-4 and 13-2 in league play.
