It took some last-inning theatrics, but Texas A&M pulled off a thrilling victory on Sunday afternoon to steal a three-game series from No. 4 Florida. With the score deadlocked in the final stanza, a Brandon Neely balk allowed Travis Chestnut to score and win the game, 3-2.

On an evening in which the long ball dominated the ballgame, No. 4 Florida outlasted Texas A&M in a nail-biter at Blue Bell Park, 6-5. Aggie pitching surrendered three homers, while Jace LaViolette and Trevor Werner left the yard for the Maroon & White in the losing effort.

Desperately needing a spark in the eighth, Hunter Haas crushed a three-run bomb to secure the lead as Texas A&M ended a five-game slide with a 6-5 win over Tarleton. In the process, Justin Lamkin whiffed a career-high nine batters, and Evan Aschenbeck picked up his first save.

Falling behind early but managing to forge an improbable tie, Texas A&M ultimately dropped the series opener in Fayetteville as a go-ahead run in the eighth inning led No. 7 Arkansas to a 7-5 victory on Thursday. Despite outhitting the Razorbacks, A&M issued an alarming 14 walks.

The road to success is not easy in the Southeastern Conference as Texas A&M comes up upon a pivotal three-week stretch. The Aggies' next conference challenge will be at No. 13 Kentucky before heading to No. 5 Arkansas and hosting No. 3 Florida.
