Oklahoma transfer LHP Trent Collier commits to Aggie baseball

On Friday, former Oklahoma left-hander Trent Collier announced that he will transfer to Texas A&M to continue his collegiate career for the Fightin' Texas Aggies.

A native of Prosper, Collier is the sixth pitcher to commit to the Maroon & White during the current portal window as Michael Earley & Co. attempt to overhaul a staff that owned a 5.24 ERA.

During his lone season in Norman, the sophomore was 1-1 across 18 appearances that included one start. Collier struck out 28 batters against 11 walks in 23.2 innings pitched, owning a 3.80 ERA and a 1.44 WHIP to go along with a .256 batting average against.

Of course, Oklahoma just won the 2026 Men’s College World Series, and Collier made two postseason appearances for Skip Johnson’s Sooners. In 1.2 scoreless innings in the NCAA Tournament, he did not allow a hit and struck out two batters. His final outing of 2026 came in Game 2 of the MCWS Finals vs. North Carolina.

Collier began his collegiate career at Weatherford Junior College, where he made nine starts and eight relief appearances in 2025. He earned second-team all-conference honors for his 2.65 ERA and 85 strikeouts over 68.0 innings.

He prepped at Walnut Grove High School in Prosper, where he was the 5A All-District Pitcher of the Year as a senior in 2024.

Collier becomes the ninth overall addition for Earley’s Aggies during the current portal window.
