TKO Performance of the Week: A&M coaches hot on the recruiting front

Richard Zane: Michael Earley, U.S. Soccer Team

• Michael Earley had a week with three pitching commitments. Wade Cooper, a right-hander from Texas State. He was in here with Ryan Brauninger the other day. RHP Caleb Kimble from Houston committed. LHP Logan Prisco comes from South Carolina, originally from New York. Then, of course, the Nolan Cain hire.
   
• Another win for the U.S. National soccer team. They clinched Group D, and they will play Turkey in Los Angeles. Two group games, six goals, 2-0, a lot of national pride.
   
• For Braden Montgomery to have the debut he did is one thing, but to keep doing it consistently against big league pitching is so impressive. He was drafted just two years ago.

Olin Buchanan: Jamie Morrison

• I was thinking about Kyndal Stowers’ coach. Jamie Morrison had three big-time commits, all top players in the country. Maija Mortenson, Maya Ogbogu and Amari Frazier.
   
• Earley had a big week if you need pitching.
