TKO's Knockout Performance of the Week: Sweeps on the diamond

It was a perfect weekend for Texas A&M baseball and softball as both squads swept their SEC opponents. From Michael Earley's club, Jorian Wilson and Gavin Grahovac were recognized as our TKO Knockout Performers of the Week, as well as Paislie Allen and Mya Perez from Trisha Ford's team.

David Nuño: Jorian Wilson, Chris Hacapion & more

  • Have you seen what my rundown has? Jorian Wilson is at the top of the list.

  • Chris Hacapion needs to be on the list. Took a ball to the face, delivered an RBI double in Game 2. He hit a homer in Game 3. he was 4-of-11 for the weekend. He’s starting to heat up.

  • I’m going to throw in Gavin Grahovac. He’s a stud. He was 6-of-16 this weekend. How about Gavin Lyons? In high-leverage situations, they put him in, and he gets the job done.

  • I’ll put Michael Earley and Trisha Ford on the list, as well.

Olin Buchanan: Jorian Wilson, Aiden Sims & more

  • I was really impressed with Wilson. Not only did he have two home runs in that first game and a big single in the second game, but the broadcasters were also excited about him barehanding that ball and throwing to second. I thought he was great. I know sometimes he strikes out, but it’s imposing to have a guy like that, batting seventh.

  • How do you not throw in Grahovac?

  • Aiden Sims as well. He pitched really well. I thought Shane Sdao pitched well. How about the pitching coach? Jason Kelly. The pitching staff has been really good over the past couple of weeks.

  • When Matt Simon calls the softball games and Mya Perez hits home runs, does he go, “Oh Mya, that's out of here!”
