On Monday’s edition of TexAgs Live, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things Texas A&M as the spring sports are underway. Men's basketball and women's basketball continue their conference slates and more.

Basketball
It was a 0-2 week for Buzz Williams’ Aggies as Tennessee was on fire from 3, and the Ags had no answer for Chaz Lanier with 30 points.

Up next, the Ags will face Vanderbilt on Wednesday at 6 p.m. CT

Women’s Basketball
Texas A&M lost their eighth straight game and continues to sink to the bottom of the SEC standings, dropping a contest to Mississippi State, 81-55. It was a forgetful week: Losing by 39 to No. 18 Alabama on Monday, 22 against Florida and 26 to the Bulldogs.

A&M will have one final chance to win their first true road game of the year on Thursday, Feb. 27, at Vanderbilt (19-9, 6-6) in Nashville. Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT.

Baseball
No. 1 Texas A&M took the series against Cal Poly, but dropped Sunday’s contest, 4-3. The Aggies led 2-0 in the ninth before a two-run homer and an unearned run allowed the Mustangs to steal a game.

A&M stayed at No. 1 in D1Baseball’s latest poll.

A&M will face off with Texas State at Blue Bell on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Softball
It was a perfect weekend for Trisha Ford’s Aggies, going 5-0 over Florida A&M, No. 8 Florida State and Southeastern Louisiana.

Sitting at 15-1, A&M looks to continue its success in the Texas A&M Invitational, facing Texas State on Thursday.

Women’s Tennis
The No. 6 Texas A&M women’s tennis team came back from an 0-3 deficit to down the No. 11 Texas Longhorns, 4-3, in the first SEC match of the season in Austin.

Texas took the doubles point, were up 3-0 and without stars Mary Stoiana and Jeanette Mireles, the Ags were able to rally back.

Mark Weaver: “That was a storybook ending there. I’ve been doing this a long time, 26 years of coaching, this one is definitely up there at the top. To be down 3-0, to come into Austin and beat one of the best teams in the nation.”

A&M heads back to Aggieland to continue SEC play against Arkansas on Friday at 5 p.m.

Men’s Tennis
The No. 9 Texas A&M men’s tennis team split a pair matches on Sunday, dropping a 4-2 decision to Florida State but and defeating Lamar, 4-1.

The Aggies travel to Fayetteville, Ark. to face the Razorbacks on Feb. 28 at 5:30 p.m.

Men’s Golf
Texas A&M will head to Southern Highlands Collegiate in Las Vegas on March 2.

Women’s Golf
The No. 17 Texas A&M women's golf team is set to take part in the Chevron Collegiate at the Golf Club of Houston beginning tomorrow.

Track & Field
Texas A&M’s men’s distance medley relay team capped off the Aggies’ indoor regular season with a school record with a time of 9:20.51 on Saturday at the Alex Wilson Invitational.

A&M prepares to host the SEC Championships for the first time in the new R.A. ‘Murray’ Fasken ’38 Indoor Track & Field facility. The meet will run from Feb. 27-March 1.

Equestrian
The No. 5 Texas A&M equestrian team defeated UC Davis, 13-4, Saturday afternoon for its third straight win at the Hildebrand Equine Complex.

Swimming and Diving
The men's team finished the meet in fifth, while the women's squad placed eighth.

Freshman Jaxon Bowshire claimed the gold medal on the platform on the final day SEC Swimming & Diving Championships on Saturday.
