Texas A&M adds former Texas Tech WR Micah Hudson via transfer portal
A former five-star recruit from Lake Belton High School, wide receiver Micah Hudson is headed to Texas A&M via the transfer portal to continue his college football career.
Hudson was one of the most highly coveted wideouts in America in the class of 2023 who famously followed family ties to Texas Tech despite hearing overtures from every power program in the country. The Aggies were one of those schools that had quietly nudged their way to second place very late in the game, but Hudson ultimately stuck with his pledge and signed with the Red Raiders.
After a year in Lubbock, Hudson decided he needed a change of scenery and thus entered the portal where Mike Elko and Holmon Wiggins won out.
The 6-foot, 195-pounder battled through some nagging injuries and played in five games in 2024, where he totaled 123 yards receiving on eight catches, averaging 15.4 yards per reception. His biggest game came in a win over North Texas, where he hauled in three passes for 43 yards.
Hudson is the fourth verbal pledge out of the portal so far for Texas A&M.
