On Monday’s edition of TexAgs Live, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things Texas A&M as fall sports continue. Football's electric second half propelled the Ags past LSU, baseball dominates Houston in a fall exhibition and more.

Football
The third-largest crowd in A&M history saw Texas A&M outphysical LSU in the second half behind amazing outings from Marcel Reed and BJ Mayes.

Key stats:

  • The Aggies owned a 242-24 advantage in rushing yards, including 144-0 in the second half. This was the fifth time this season A&M has held its opponent to 100-or-fewer yards on the ground.

  • The Maroon & White started a conference slate 5-0 for the first time since a 7-0 start in the Big 12 in 1998.
  • Freshman QB Marcel Reed rushed for multiple touchdowns for the first time in his career and became the first Aggie QB to score three-or-more touchdowns in a game since Trevor Knight did so against Tennessee in 2008.

A&M is now No. 10 in the AP Poll with a trip to South Carolina up next at 6:30 p.m.

Recruiting
Elko and Co. secured three commitments following a raucous crowd at Kyle Field.

  • 2026 Douglasville (GA) Douglas County WR Aaron Gregory
  • 2026 Douglasville (GA) Douglas County defensive end Jordan Carter‍

  • 2026 Lawndale (CA) Leuzinger LB Samu Moala‍ ‍

Men’s Basketball
Texas A&M and Houston met for a charity exhibition benefitting the Greater Houston Disaster Alliance Hurricane Beryl Recovery Fund. The Coogs defeated the Aggies at the Fertitta Center, 79-64.

A&M shot 27.8 percent from 3-point range, and 67.7 percent from the free-throw line.

A&M’s 2024-25 campaign begins at UCF on Nov. 4.

Baseball
Michael Earley and the Fightin' Texas Aggies put on a show in a 13-1 exhibition victory over the Houston Cougars.

  • That was their last fall ball game and all we will see of Aggie baseball until the spring season

Soccer
On Senior Night in Aggieland, Texas A&M soccer fell to No. 3 Mississippi State at Ellis Field, 2-0, as the Bulldogs secured a SEC regular-season championship.

Next for the Aggies will be the SEC Tournament, which begins on Sunday, Nov. 3, in Pensacola.

Volleyball
The Maroon & White return to action Friday, Nov. 1, as they face Alabama in Reed Arena with first serve set for 6:30 p.m.

Softball
Trisha Ford’s program will host a Maroon & White game on Tuesday night at 5 p.m. at Davis Diamond.

Women’s Golf
The No. 19 Texas A&M women's golf team is set to wrap up the fall portion of its schedule at the Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate at Ridglea Country Club Oct. 28-29.
