On Friday’s edition of TexAgs Radio, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things Texas A&M as Aggie baseball will play in the Men's College World Series for the eighth time in program history and softball adds through the portal.
General
With only the NCAA MCWS remaining, Texas A&M stands No. 12 in the 2023-24 Division I Learfield Directors' Cup standings, the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) announced.
With Jim Schlossnagle's baseball team participating, Texas A&M is on course to post its highest finish in more than a decade. It will also be Texas A&M's 18th straight appearance in the Directors' Cup top 25. The Aggies are one of 11 teams nationally to finish in the top 25 every season since 2005-06.
All 19 of Texas A&M's NCAA-sponsored sports advanced to the postseason.
Baseball
In the Men's College World Series for the eighth time in program history, Texas A&M sits in Bracket 2 along with Florida, Kentucky and North Carolina State. The Aggies will get going on Saturday evening when they face the Gators at Charles Schwab Field Omaha.

Softball
Aggie softball landed transfer Sidne Peters out of the portal. As a freshman at Washington this past season, she appeared in 26 games, making five starts and posted a 3.35 ERA, 8-1 record and 70 Ks. Was named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team.
Grace Sparks is from Crosby, Texas and just finished her sophomore year at Ole Miss. She was a part of back-to-back NCAA Tournament squads and, this past season, held a team-leading 2.14 ERA in 78 innings of work.
Basketball
The Texas A&M men's basketball team drew a familiar opponent in Wake Forest for a Tuesday, Dec. 3 matchup in the 2024 SEC-ACC Challenge, ESPN announced on Wednesday. The game's tip time will be announced at a later date.
Women’s basketball
ESPN announced on Wednesday that Texas A&M women's basketball will host Syracuse on Wednesday, December 4 as part of the 2024 SEC-ACC Women's Basketball Challenge.
Women’s tennis
The No. 1 Texas A&M women’s tennis team was selected as one of the hosts for the 2024 ITA Kickoff Weekend, the organization announced Thursday.
Men’s tennis
The No. 16 Texas A&M men's tennis team chose Harvard as its destination for the 2025 ITA Kickoff Weekend during Wednesday's draft
