On Monday’s edition of TexAgs Radio, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things Texas A&M as men's basketball and women's basketball both continue conference play and baseball and softball went undefeated this weekend.
Baseball
In an Opening Weekend sweep of McNeese State at Blue Bell Park, the eighth-ranked Fightin' Texas Aggies outscored the visiting Cowboys 31-1.
Friday: 15-0
Saturday: 6-1
Sunday: 10-0
On Tuesday, the Aggies will face Incarnate Word at 4 p.m. at Blue Bell Park.
Softball
No. 25 Texas A&M improved to 5-0 in the Campbell/Cartier Classic and 9-0 overall by winning two games against No. 14 Oregon, San Diego State, and run-ruled Loyola Marymount.
The Maroon & White return to the Brazos Valley to host the Texas A&M Invitational beginning Thursday at 5:15 p.m. against Southeastern Louisiana at 5:15 p.m. at Davis Diamond.
Basketball
The Aggies surrendered an alarming 18 makes from beyond the arc in Saturday's loss to No. 15 Alabama, 100-75. Conversely, Texas A&M continued to fire from long range without success, shooting 4-of-23 and taking another step back in the process.
They are now 15-10 and 6-6 in the league with a meeting with Arkansas on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Women’s basketball
Texas A&M is set to host No. 13 LSU tonight at 6 p.m. at Reed Arena.
