Introducing Texas Aggies United, powered by TexAgs

Howdy, TexAgs!

We here at TexAgs are proud to be partnering with Texas Aggies United, the first exclusive and official NIL partner of Texas A&M Athletics.

“Texas Aggies United will be a main gateway to provide even more support for our student-athletes through more branding and name, image and likeness opportunities,” said Texas A&M Director of Athletics Ross Bjork via a release. “We are fired up to welcome Texas Aggies United as the official NIL entity of Texas A&M Athletics, and we encourage everyone to join Texas Aggies United today!”

TexAgs will provide digital content, administrative support and overall customer experience in this newly formed organization. In addition to hosting content, our staff will be involved in promotional opportunities and providing activations through our platform.

When we launched Stacked back in 2021, our goal was to create exclusive content by partnering with Texas A&M student-athletes through name, image and likeness (NIL). It’s time now to take the next step in our NIL endeavors by joining forces with Texas Aggies United.

Since arriving on campus, Texas A&M quarterback Conner Weigman has sat down with TexAgs 11 times via Stacked.

Starting today, TexAgs Stacked will become Texas Aggies United. This means that your Stacked add-on subscription will convert into a Texas Aggies United add-on subscription. Don’t worry; this will be seamless for you as TexAgs will continue to take care of all subscription billing and support.

I want to point out a few changes — some big, some small — that I think are important:

First, you will notice that there are more membership levels with United — starting at $250 and going all the way up to $50,000. We want Texas Aggies United to be able to engage all levels of contributors.

Second, we’ve dropped the $100-a-year membership level. If you’re a Stacked 100 subscriber, don’t worry — We are grandfathering that level into Texas Aggies United! You can continue renewing at that level. New subscriptions will start at the $250 member level.

Third, you will notice that there are some subtle differences in the member-level benefits. The $250 level drops the Stacked commemorative item. The $1,000 level drops the signed commemorative item and adds priority access to a Fan Day autograph session, an invitation to attend a student-athlete meet & greet session, and some TAU merchandise.

Fourth, members at the $2,500 level and greater will be able to direct their contribution to specific sports. If you want to direct 50% to football and 50% to women’s basketball, you can do so. If you want 100% to go to baseball, you can do that too. If you’re interested in directing your contribution, make sure you toggle that feature on checkout, and we will be sending you a link to a worksheet in the next couple of weeks.

Texas Aggies United represents considerable collaboration from key stakeholders in the Texas A&M market. We are very excited about this opportunity and look forward to the ways this new service with benefit the student athlete and fan alike.

Finally, if it isn’t clear from what you’ve read above, Texas Aggies United represents considerable collaboration from key stakeholders in the Texas A&M market. We are very excited about this opportunity and look forward to the ways this new service with benefit the student athlete and fan alike.

TexAgs is uniquely positioned in the NIL landscape at Texas A&M to help support student-athletes, and partnering with Texas Aggies United will only further our reach and make it easier to provide compelling content for you the subscriber involving the student-athletes we all love to watch compete in the Maroon & White.

Previously, Stacked aimed to give 75% of all funds raised to student-athletes. With Texas Aggies United, that number jumps to 85% going to Texas A&M student-athletes.

So there are going to be two main NIL components officially associated with A&M, 12th Man Plus and this?

12th Man did not want to be associated with NIL. It is a "little dark" but I find that surprising, in a good way.

Good for TexAgs for trying to further the competitiveness of TAMU athletics. I admire the proactive nature of the project. However, I'm not a pro sports fan, and what's the point of rooting for a college team if the players aren't here because they think TAMU is a great school with a great culture, but out for the paycheck.

Bring back college athletics.

I am 100% in favor of this.

And I LOVE the name: Texas Aggies United.

Couldn't've come up with one better than that!

Probably, but that doesn't mean I have to get on the new ship. I choose just not to travel.

So, how much would it take for Texas A&M Football to be relevant?

I mean, haven't we already hauled in top talent? What is NIL going to accomplish that we haven't accomplished already?

I don't think recruiting is holding us back.

These NIL collectives exist because we want to ensure we continue to bring in top talent, regardless of who the head coach is. I understand if you're frustrated right now (pretty sure we all are), but the need for talent never stops in the SEC. The ones who internalize this the quickest will always remain competitive.

Yes, Texas Aggies United is a collective. TexAgs does not operate the collective. We've partnered with them on a site, content, and some administration items. Check out more here in the FAQs:

Can you tell us who the "we" are? Who is the head of this organization and who is on the management team (CEO, President, CFO, VPs)?

I looked at your website and didn't find any of this information. Thanks!

I hate pro sports. Bring back college athletics. Bring back athletes that really want to be Aggies.

Have fun not watching Aggie sports then! Might I suggest you go and observe intramural sports instead?

I have and I will. You would be surprised at the level of talent and competition…. and how many student-athletes are there watching & wishing they could have some fun with their friends.

You might as well pine for nickel ice cream cones and 15 cent hamburgers. They're not coming back either. Nor leather helmets nor buggy whips. Things change and one doesn't have to like it, but whining has never brought back anything. Try starting a letter writing campaign. It worked for Star Trek.

Is this just another scam? Asking for money. Making assertions with no supporting data. A faceless organization that you don't know who the owner is, nor the paid staff or volunteers (management team) responsible for the operations of the business.

Or is it a legitimate business of some type with a web page that introduces their management team with pictures and bios describing their backgrounds, qualifications, and experience?

As the official NIL of Texas A&M athletics, this is a for profit collective structure, meaning no contributions are tax deductible, correct? What stakeholders will be involved in allocating NIL dollars other than officers/employees of TexAgs? Is 85% pass through goal comparable to other Power 5 collectives, will an official audit be produced annually available to the public, and to what degree if any will these contributions be accretive to TexAgs bottom line?

I agree on the above questions. Have not seen any answers.

Also:
I am a bit confused about the seemingly duplicated efforts of TAU and the 12th Man Foundation.
Is a contribution to either TAU or 12th Man Foundation (or both) tax deductable?
AGDAD14
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Still no answers. I guess transparency is overrated when it comes to NIL organizations. Paying kids to play sports always was a little shady.

The TMF shares information regarding their trustees, executives, staff, annual revenue and expenses, and use of the donated funds.

It's really cute of you to think that players weren't paid before NIL.

Pick your most favorite Aggie athlete from the past 40 years and I can all but guarantee he/she didn't choose A&M solely based off it being a great school with great culture.

Last year was supposed be the year of top talent at A^M. This year that top talent left A&M like rats on a sinking ship! I don't follow pro athletics, I'm about to quit semi pro college athletics. This NIL and transfer portal business is ruining amateur college athletics.

A rival who seems to be more transparent. Maybe only a staff of two, but at least one knows who is in charge running the organization. Do we know the people running Aggies United?

Our family were Hog fans before becoming Aggies, so we still have connections. This link was accompanied by a letter from the chancellor/president and AD. Have you heard from our Chancellor or President? They also talk about how it benefits the state and local economies. We hear how it benefits Texags. Such a contrast.
