* There is no question that Bill Byrne has done a tremendous job in growing the athletic department during his time at A&M. The game day events have really improved and he did a great job with the renovation of Olsen Field.

* In the overall picture, he’s done a tremendous job and has always been good at hiring people, with the help of John Thornton.
