On Monday’s edition of TexAgs Radio, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things Texas A&M Athletics after the women's tennis and golf team brought home SEC Championships, the Maroon & White Spring Game and the diamond sports continue.


Football
Texas A&M played in its spring game on Saturday at Kyle Field with the White team defeating the Maroon team, 33-19.

Baseball (22-14, 7-8 in SEC)
The Aggies won their third conference series in a row, taking down Missouri. A&M put up 13 runs in each of its first two games to defeat the Tigers before falling on Sunday, 13-5. 

  • Brett Minnich hit a three-run home run in the fifth. 
  • Travis Chestnut hammered a three-run home run in the sixth. 
  • Evan Aschenbeck (5-0); W, 4 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 8 K

A&M will be back at Olsen Field on Wednesday to take on Prairie View A&M at 6 p.m. CT on the SEC Network.

Softball (26-16, 8-10 in SEC)
No. 21 Texas A&M was swept this weekend at South Carolina, falling 6-2, 1-0 and 8-0, respectively. The Aggies will be back at Davis Diamond for a midweek meeting with Texas State on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Women’s Tennis (25-1, 13-0 in SEC) 
No. 2 Texas A&M finished out its conference season with a perfect 13-0 record for the second year in a row, claiming the regular season conference title by winning at Kentucky on Friday and at Vanderbilt on Sunday. 

A&M dropped the doubles point, 2-1, before Mary Stoiana, Salma Ewing, Mia Kupres, Jayci Goldsmith and Jeanette Mireles won their singles match to claim the victory. 

The Aggies won the doubles point, 2-0, before Mary Stoiana, Jayci Goldsmith and Jeanette Mireles won their singles matches to close out the win. 

Women’s Golf 
After five days of golf in Hoover, Alabama, Texas A&M captured the SEC Title on Sunday, taking down Mississippi State, 3-2, in the championship match. Zoe Slaughter won her third playoff hole to claim the deciding point for the Aggies. 

Men’s Golf
The Maroon & White will begin play at the SEC Championships at St. Simons Island, Georgia on Wednesday for the first round of stroke play. 

Men’s Tennis (16-10, 7-5 in SEC) 
The Aggies close out its regular season schedule on Sunday, defeating No. 17 Auburn, 4-1, before taking down Incarnate Word, 7-0. 

A&M won the doubles point, 2-0, before Guido Marson, Trey Hilderbrand and Luke Casper claimed their singles matches to close out the victory. 

The Maroon & White won all three of its doubles matches and all six of its singles matches to defeat the Cardinals. 

A&M will face the winner of Arkansas and Vanderbilt in the second round of the SEC Tournament on Thursday at 6 p.m. CT in Auburn, Alabama.

Track & Field
The Aggies competed at the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, California this weekend. For the full result, click this LINK.

Soccer
Texas A&M closed out its spring season by taking down UTSA, 4-0, before playing Texas State to a 1-1 draw.
