Texas A&M basketball ranked No. 25 in USA TODAY Coaches Poll
Back in the rankings.
After winning against LSU on Saturday, Texas A&M basketball has entered the USA TODAY Coaches Poll, coming in at No. 25 in their Week 15 poll. The Aggies have won 12 of their last 14 games and sit at 10-2 in SEC play. This is the second time A&M has been ranked in a major poll this season.
Earlier this season, Buzz Williams & Co. spent just one week in the AP Poll at No. 24, dropping out of the rankings following a 1-2 showing at the Myrtle Beach Invitational in November.
Last week, the Aggies completed a pair of season sweeps, downing Auburn at home on Tuesday before defeating LSU in Baton Rouge on Saturday night. Wade Taylor IV posted big games in both, scoring 22 in A&M’s 83-78 victory over War Eagle and 23 in a 74-62 win vs. the Bayou Bengals.
Texas A&M is among three SEC teams ranked in this edition of the Coaches Poll, joining top-ranked Alabama and No. 11 Tennessee. The Tide (No. 1) and Vols (No. 10) were also listed among the AP’s Top 25.
The Aggies continue their march through the SEC with a game against Arkansas at 8 p.m. CT on Wednesday at the resurgently-rowdy Reed Arena. In late January, A&M fell to the Razorbacks in Fayetteville, 81-70.
