Aggies snag commitment from standout Pennsylvania LB Andre White

Jimbo Fisher has reeled in his first inside linebacker commitment as Harrisburg (Penn.) standout Andre White has given his verbal commitment to Texas A&M. He chose the Aggies over USC, UCLA, Michigan State and Penn State.

White stands 6-4 and weighs 230 pounds and projects as an inside linebacker in Mike Elko’s scheme. You can view his highlights here.

White made his pledge while on an unofficial visit in College Station and made his decision public via Twitter.

He becomes the Ags 12th overall commitment in the 2019 class, and he joins Georgia WR Kenyon Jackson one of two pledges from outside the state of Texas.

Jimbo loves fast, big, physical, hard-hitting defenders. Andre White is a huge get if he stays committed to Jimbo & A&M.

It took a bit of google searching but I found Andre's Nike Combine results:

Height: 6' 2.5"
Weight: 222
40: 4.70
Shuttle: 4.53
Vert Jump: 35.9"
Powerball Toss: 35'

He tested at the San Fran 49ers practice facility on March 4, 2018. After going thru one on one drills, he won the camp's best lb award.

Based on his combine numbers, size, speed, HUDL film, tackles and tfl stats, and performance in the SF Nike Combine drills and one-on-ones, Andre should move up to a high 4* in the 95-96 range.

Great attributes. I'm surprised he isn't a composite 4 star already. Big get if we can keep him committed considering he's got a Penn St. offer and he's from the state of PA.

As our resident PA Aggie on the board I have to say welcome to the program Andre. I love how angry his commitment made my PSU fans. Some young men just want to challenge themselves in the SEC.

His coaches made a mistake by lining him up 7 yards off of the ball. This kid had the tools to be disruptive. He should have been run blitzing like crazy.
