Aggie Men's Hoops cracks AP top ten, comes in at No. 9
After an incredible week that included double-digit wins over Oklahoma State, Penn State and then-No. 10 USC, Texas A&M Men's Basketball has leaped into the top ten of the Associated Press Poll, coming in at No. 9.
The Aggies sit at 6-0 on the season, are 4-0 against Power Five competition – having beaten a highly-ranked West Virginia team in Germany to tip off the year – and have won every game by double-digits.
A&M began the season ranked 25th and jumped up to 16th upon beating the Mountaineers. After spending two weeks in that spot and Sunday night's blowout of the Trojans, the Aggies find themselves in college basketball's upper echelon.
With a non-conference tilt against Arizona looming, Texas A&M will have a chance to put another Power Five win on its resume before Southeastern Conference play begins on Dec. 30.
As a league, the SEC is well-represented in the latest poll, holding four spots, three of which are within the top ten, Florida holds the top spot at No. 6, and No. 7 Kentucky, No. 9 A&M and No. 24 Alabama follow.
