The No. 4 Aggie softball team came in to Friday afternoon's game with Georgia on their first two-game losing streak of the season.

Sophomore Samantha Show made certain in Friday's game that the streak would go no further, tossing a complete game in the circle and blasting two homers at the plate as the Aggies cruised to a 10-3 victory over No. 22 Georgia.

Things started a little rough for the Aggies as Georgia would get on the board first, scoring two runs in each of the first two innings to jump out to a 2-0 lead against the Aggies.

Then in the bottom of the second inning things started to swing in A&M's favor. Georgia starter Amanda Abian walked the first three batters of the inning to load the bases for Erica Russell. After a pitching change for the Bulldogs, Erica Russel drew a walk, scoring the Aggies' first run of the day.

Keeli Milligan batted next, and she slapped a single to left-field that tied the game back up at two. The Aggies would tack on two more runs in the inning without having to swing the bat, as Kaitly Alderink was a hit by a pitch and Riley Sartain walked, each with the bases loaded, to give A&M a 4-2 lead.

That was all the support Samantha Show would need.

In the circle, Show scattered four hits throughout her final five innings of work, allowing only one more run across in the top of the sixth.

Show at the plate was her own best friend, hitting two solo home runs in the game, including a no-doubter to left-field in the bottom of the third to extend the A&M lead to 5-2. Her second homer was a line shot to straight away center-field to lead off the A&M half of the fifth inning.

"These past couple weeks I've really done good job of listening to Coach Glasco and my Dad in telling me to get back to the basics, getting back to a comfortable batting stance and trusting my instincts and swinging at good pitches." said Show on her performance at the plate.

It was a solid day all around for the Aggies at the plate, with each of the nine-hitters in Jo Evans' staring lineup able to register at least one hit. Junior catcher Ashley Walters would get in on the big fly action, hitting a two-run home run to left field in the bottom of the sixth inning to give some insurance to her battery mate going into the final inning.

The Aggies will be back in action and going for the series victory Saturday night at the Aggie Softball Complex. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m., and the game will be broadcast on ESPN2.
