No. 2 Texas A&M lost to No. 4 Auburn, 14-6, in the second home meet of the season.

After a tough loss on the road against No. 5 Georgia, the Aggies returned home and fought hard against the Auburn Tigers.

The meet began with Equitation over Fences where the Aggies fell to the Tigers 3-2. Sophomore Rebekah Chenelle and Junior Rachael Hake earned the Aggies' points.

The A&M Reining team tied 2-2, making the score 5-4 before the break. Sophomore Haley Franc won the first point in Reining, while Junior Madison Bohman ended it defeating her opponent 74-0.

Going into the second half, Equitation on the Flat appeared to be a challenge for the Aggies as they fell 4-1 before the last event of the day. Once again, Junior Rachael Hake topped her competitor earning the sole point for Texas A&M.

The Aggies trailed 9-5 going into Horsemanship and ultimately lost the event 3-2, making the final score 12-7. Junior and SEC Rider of the Month Avery Ellis earned the first point for the Horsemanship squad and was joined by Senior Kaci Fisher. Both Ellis and Fisher recorded their ninth win this season.

The Texas A&M equestrian team will host the last home meet March 10 at the Hildebrand Equine Complex against No. 10 TCU at 11 a.m.
