Today's forecast was 81 degrees with a 100% chance of winning for the Aggies. Their double-header proved an easy task as they rolled over both the Central Michigan Chippewas (8-3) and the Ohio St. Buckeyes (9-1).

Against CMU, the Aggies started quickly in the first inning as Kaitlyn Alderink singled to left center, followed by a double from Tori Vidales, scoring Alderink. Ashley Walters walked, and Riley Sartain singled to right, sending Walters to third and Vidales home to put the Aggies up 2-0.

Central Michigan shortstop Morgan Gardner launched a three-run home run in the top of the second, but the Aggies responded. In the bottom of the inning, Kelbi Fortenberry reached on a fielding error then stole second. Alderink grounded out, advancing Fortenberry to third. Vidales walked and then stole second, and Fortenberry scored on a throwing error, tying the game up 3-3.

The Aggies added a run in the bottom of the third, and the Chippewas scored two in the top of the fifth to take a 5-4 lead. Again the Aggies in the bottom of the inning. Samantha Show singled to right and was replaced by pinch runner Miranda Miles, who advanced to second in the next at bat. Kristen Cuyos then singled to center, scoring Miles.

The Aggies' bats got hot in the bottom of the sixth. Sarah Hudek singled to left, followed by a sacrifice bunt by Fortenberry, which pushed Hudek to second. Alderink then singled, advancing Hudek to third. Vidales walked, loading the bases, and Walters doubled to left center, scoring all three runners and finishing out the scoring for the game.

After giving up a run in the first inning of the second game against Ohio State, the Aggies got off to another quick start offensively. Fortenberry led off the Aggies' first inning with a walk and then advanced to second on a bunt from Alderink. Tori Vidales then stepped to the plate and launched a two-run homer to center, putting A&M up 2-1. They would never look back.

The bottom of the second was full of action as Sartain singled up the middle and then advanced to second on a wild pitch. Russell walked, followed by a sacrificial bunt from Fortenberry that advanced Russell to second and Sartain to third. Another wild pitch scored Sartain and alllowed Russell to take third, putting the Aggies up 3-1.

The Aggies turned up the heat in the bottom of the third, tacking on five more runs and putting the game out of reach early. After three straight walks from the Buckeyes, Hudek produced a base hit that scored three. Russell then knocked in Hudek, and Alderink reached on an Ohio State error. Vidales then slammed a triple to center, scoring Alderink and stretching the lead to 8-1.

In the bottom of the fourth, Show launched a solo home run, putting the Aggies up 9-1 and capping the scoring for the Aggies second game of the day.

The Aggies improved to 3-0 in the Aggie Classic and on the season, and they will square off against Lamar again on Sunday at 12:15 p.m.
