Around Aggieland: September 14th, 2015
Volleyball
- Fell to Iowa State (3-1) in their first match of the Comfort Suites Challenge on Friday.
- Freshman opposite hitter Kaitlyn Blake, posted a career-high and team-high with 14 kills.
- Aggies came back Friday evening to defeat Milwaukee 3-1.
- Junior middle blocker Jazzmin Babers had 20 kills in the match to tie her career high.
- Sophomore libero Amy Nettles had 20 digs which is an A&M season-high.
- In their final match of the weekend, the Aggies fell to Iowa on Saturday 3-1, finishing out the tournament 1-2.
- Babers shared match-high honors with 17 kills against Iowa. She was also named to the all-tournament team
- Sophomore setter Stephanie Aiple posted 50 assists and 10 digs to produce a double-double.
- A&M will play again tomorrow when they host No. 14 Colorado State. Match begins at 6:30 p.m. at Reed Arena.
Soccer
- After taking down their first SEC opponent last Thursday, the No. 6 Aggies defeated the Dayton Flyers in their final non-conference road match of the season 3-1 Sunday afternoon.
- Haley Pounds, Brittany Crabtree and Janae Cousineau all scored in the match.
- The Aggies are now 7-1.
- A&M returns to Ellis Field on Friday to host the Vanderbilt Commodores at 6:00 pm.
