WATCH: TexAgs subscribers replace Yell Leader's lost Aggie Ring

Good bull story alert.

Back in December, Shaquille Gould ’15, then a senior Aggie Yell Leader, went out to eat at Gus' Fried Chicken in Memphis, Tenn. with his fellow Yell Leaders after A&M's Liberty Bowl victory. There, Gould remembers taking his Aggie Ring off and sticking it in his jacket — but he realized the next morning it was nowhere to be found.

Though he's often checked back with the Association of Former Students, it has yet to resurface.

But there is more to the story. TexAgs’ Gabe Bock recently had his own lost ring replaced in a surprise gift from TexAgs Premium and Varsity subscribers, which inspired him after hearing this news to ‘pay it forward’ by setting up a GoFundMe to replace Gould’s ring. Within a mere 45 minutes of posting the original thread asking if the community might be able to support such an endeavor, the payment for the ring was fully funded.

The next task for G-Bo and fellow outgoing Yell Leader Roy May was to keep the secret for around four months, which they were able to until Gould and May were scheduled to appear on TexAgs Radio to share their experiences from the 2014 season.

Aggies won’t be surprised in the least by any of this — it’s one among countless examples of the Aggie Family at work — but it was a special moment for Gould, and he was able to share it with us all on the show on Thursday.
