Aggie Flashback with U.S. Navy JAG Jason Meyer
Bio and key information on Jason Meyer:
- Won 20 games as a lefthanded pitcher at Texas A&M from 2004-2007 … under both Mark Johnson and Rob Childress.
- Two time All-Big 12 performer.
- Led the Aggies to the Big 12 Tournament title in 2007 and to the NCAA Super Regional in '04 and '07.
- Left A&M to go to grad school at Connecticut.
- Joined the Military and is now serving our country as a U.S. Navy JAG.
- Played for both Coach Johnson and Coach Childress
- Won a Big 12 Tournament title and went to a couple of super regionals.
- Burst on the scene in 2004: Went 82 with a 2.89 ERA and 3 saves which helped lead the Ags to the Super Regional in Baton Rouge.
- Had to go through Rice Regional to get to LSU (which ended up being an epic weekend in Aggie Baseball history)
- Beat Lamar on Friday … only threw four innings … pitched 7.1 innings and struck out 9 in "if necessary" game vs. Rice on Sunday.
