Dog him if you want, but inside the lines the man can coach. Ask any coach in the SEC and they will agree. Some of you ought to decide to actually support this overachieving team!

There is no doubt that Billy and his staff know how to coach basketball at a high level; they have had to adapt what they want to do because of the obvious lack of talant at several positions and overall lack of depth; depth should be better next year; the main thing we lack is consistancy; not sure if we will achieve that this year;hope this team can finish on a positive note

It's obvious to me that BK is willing to make hard decisions. With the options he has left, he decided to bench Green, a well deserved benching. Also, the decision to play Caruso more is starting to pay off.

He looked more "alive" and showed some energy on the sideline. In past games he's looked like a zombie.

Does anyone know of any significant change in his treatments? Just hope his health continues to improve.

This is what I've read posted on here before:

Bradykinesia (slowness of movement) is another characteristic feature of PD, and is associated with difficulties along the whole course of the movement process, from planning to initiation and finally execution of a movement. [1]

Performance of sequential and simultaneous movement is hindered. [1] Bradykinesia is the most disabling symptom in the early stages of the disease. [2] Initial manifestations are problems when performing daily tasks which require fine motor control such as writing, sewing or getting dressed. [1] Clinical evaluation is based in similar tasks such as alternating movements between both hands or both feet. [2] Bradykinesia is not equal for all movements or times. It is modified by the activity or emotional state of the subject, to the point that some patients are barely able to walk yet can still ride a bicycle. [1] Generally patients have less difficulty when some sort of external cue is provided. [1][10]

Rigidity is stiffness and resistance to limb movement caused by increased muscle tone, an excessive and continuous contraction of muscles. [1] In parkinsonism the rigidity can be uniform (lead-pipe rigidity) or ratchety (cogwheel rigidity). [1][2][11][12] The combination of tremor and increased tone is considered to be at the origin of cogwheel rigidity. [13] Rigidity may be associated with joint pain; such pain being a frequent initial manifestation of the disease. [1] In early stages of Parkinson's disease, rigidity is often asymmetrical and it tends to affect the neck and shoulder muscles prior to the muscles of the face and extremities. [14] With the progression of the disease, rigidity typically affects the whole body and reduces the ability to move.

Postural instability is typical in the late stages of the disease, leading to impaired balance and frequent falls, and secondarily to bone fractures. [1]

Instability is often absent in the initial stages, especially in younger people. [2] Up to 40% of the patients may experience falls and around 10% may have falls weekly, with number of falls being related to the severity of PD. [1]

Other recognized motor signs and symptoms include gait and posture disturbances such as festination (rapid shuffling steps and a forward-flexed posture when walking), [1] speech and swallowing disturbances including voice disorders, [15] mask-like face expression or small handwriting, although the range of possible motor problems that can appear is large.

Being pissed off at the results does not equal not supporting the team. I'm sorry if people don't jump up and down to praise a mediocre basketball team.

Get over yourself.

Thanks ccquinlan.

I knew/know very little about Parkinson's. It all makes a little more sense now.

Another theory for the BK opposers--He is learning daily about coaching at this level and with whatever wrenches are thrown his way. My bottom line is I am very familiar with what he is dealing with healthwise (prop to ccquinlan info as well), and I think it will be a great story as Coach's players and team's fans understand more as well. And I also think he would not want the fandom not to ***** about losses. Apathy sucks for any coach. He ain't goin' nowhere, btw. Rough times and they're gonna win close to 20.

So he's making "this level" money to be learning how to coach?

I hope you know how ridiculous that sounds.

They have played really good team ball in 3 of the last 4, Georgia being the exception. That's the most consistent this team has been so far this year.

I don't buy it for a second just bc we were fortunate enough to prevail in a few games against subpar teams. BK must go, no question. Peace be with you and him

Let me clarify: I was not saying he deserves to learn this level in on the job training, (that is a fortunate break for him he was offered). His learning curve for this level was quite high as it turned out. But, he is here; he is not going anywhere soon, so it might end up being a good story. That's all I meant. I'm not sold it will happen; far from it. Had it still been Big 12, there'd really be some stuff hitting the fan. But,he's gonna be here next year if he wants.

Lol at this team overachieving. 5-6 in the worst major conference and a loss to Southern. Enough said.

Southern has turned out to be pretty good. I;m thinking that loss was no worse than Saint Louis.

I didn't get to see the Ole Miss game. Did we actually have a reasonable offensive approach or was it just count on ET to carry us and we win if he can and lose if he can't?

I'm hoping the former rather than the latter. This team has got to move the ball and work it inside out to be consistently competitive imo. The defense is pretty good. The turnovers have definitely gotten better.

Not sure how it would have played out. Would have been tough. Once ET proved a hot hand it was like...let's see just how many he can make. If something ain't broken don't fix it.....

Halfastros you're mega wrong. Slu has an rpi of about 50. Southern is barely in the top 200. There's no way around it. Southern was a horrible, horrible loss. Slu wouldn't be if we hadn't lost by 20+

I am becoming a believer. His team looks like they believe as well.

I have been on both sides of the fence and I will probably change again, when they lose again.......so, here's hoping for more wins!!!

Dear God there's nothing like an arrogant ******* making a snap generalization about an entire fan base based on one guy's perhaps not very well considered opinion.

Maybe your'e right. Doesn't justify the tone of your statement.

I can accept that critique. Still, A 20+ point loss to a team that is no shoe in for the Big Dance is really ugly.

Yea losing by 20+ was embarrassing especially considering the circumstances. Still, they are a far better team than southern, which has piled up some Ws recently, but only because they've been playing teams w 250+ RPIs

guys, I'm not on the kennedy bandwagon, and I'm not happy with kennedy's loss to southern. However, I'm not willing to let that one loss define the entire season. Let's wait it out and see where we are at the end of the season.

Remember 2009? Texas A&M was 5-7 traveling to nebraska when they came back from 18 down in the 2nd half. They went on to win every game remaining in the regular season to eventually go to the NCAA tournament. I'm not saying that we will go there, I think going to the NIT is progress, but there's still basketball to be played

To 1,000,000 touchdowns ...and beyond

If Kennedy finishes 6-12 or worse in the SEC he needs to go. The SEC is not a very good basketball conference this year. I don't think 6-12 in the 2012-13 SEC is an improvement over 4-14 in the 2011-12 Big 12 (which was tougher than the SEC this year). Last year's Rice loss = this year's Southern loss. How much improvement have we really seen?

How long do you want to ignore this user?
I wouldn't disparage the SEC so much. They were down at the start of the season, but I will guarantee they are all better with the exception of Kentucky, and maybe South Carolina. When the two best players on your team are a transfer and a freshman, you are not going to beat a lot of teams in the SEC. We have some players who can play when they are hot, but do not have good basketball instincts. The crosscourt passes and the silly turnovers are killing us. While I believe Kennedy will get the job done, we face a tough road. Tennessee is finally getting on track as Stokes is benifitting from Golden finally being healthy, Arkansas is much improved, and Ole Miss is not happy about their performance against us. Instead of attacking the basket we tend to attack the three point line, with the exception of Harris. Until we attack the basket and start drawing fouls we are going to have games like Georgia, Southern, and Vandy.....I like and admire coach, but we didn't guard the three well nor attack the basket in this game.

Ok yes he probably can coach, I'm not an expert when it comes to the coaching levels and how to tell if a coach is doing a good job or not. But it does seem our offense is stagnant in times.. The ball seems to be sticky and moves at a slow pace and results in a prayer as the shot clock winds down for alot of our possessions. I could be wrong but that's what I see... The one thing that frustrates me beyond belief is I've never seen BK show any sort of emotion even close to MT or BG... Just watch the duke Maryland game last night.. Turgeon is a coach kids want to play for due to his emotion on the sideline. He brings excitement to the program and that's what we desperately need back. I think it's quite obvious that BK doesn't excite the students and the rest of the A&M alums by just looking at a normal game now compared to the glory years with carter acie Sloan and many others. I think the SEC is certainly not going to help us in basketball especially when it comes to recruiting. Think about it... Why would someone in the ESPN top 100 want to play for this program right now. From what I've read, the recruiting class this year is showing exactly that. We did land Reese last year and he is the hopeful potential future for us. He can definitely be a program builder but we desperately need depth. We need a new coach and anyone that thinks BK will be around in 4 or 5 years.. I would love to hear an explanation.
