Do I still have an AgTag? It's going away sometime. And I have no idea where my ring is. Does that mean I can't post anymore?

Yes, ... banned.

To some of you don't think Kennedy can coach. He will finally have some players next year who will have the athleticism to play good defense and drive the lane. He doesn't have that right now, except for Harris. AS the old saying goes,'You can't make chicken soup out of chicken poop"

Any number of coaches could win with this group^ I'd bet a bundle our last 2 could.

They'd maybe have 3 or 4 more wins than BK does. Doesn't matter who is coaching, this bunch does not have enough guys who are dependable and consistent scoring threats. With that, you have to play grind-it-out bball, gritty defense, and work within the shot clock until you can create a high-percentage shot in the paint. And if you can't, create a window outside, and take an outside shot as time winds down. BCG and MT ball with this group of players wouldn't look much different.

If we can recruit some scorers though, that changes everything for BK and Co, just as it would for BCG and MT as well.

3 or 4 wins would be difference between the Big Dance and, possibly, the NIT.

That's HUGE. It's not like anybody expects to be Sweet 16 candidate with this squad.

There's a pretty big difference between 15-10 and 19-6, especially if all the flipped bits are our most embarrassing losses. OK, 4 more wins isn't enough to erase all of our embarrassing losses, but it would be a nice start.

You just described basketball in general and BCG in particular. Working within the shot clock to generate a quality attempt is not a sign of lack of talent, it's a sign of fundamentally sound basketball. The problem is that BCG won and Kennedy isn't.

I do think Kennedy can coach up the X's and O's, but sometimes that just isn't enough. Sports are a lot about energy and emotion and when he able to demostrate absolutely NONE of that, it has to drag down the team as well.

As a minimum, he should allow one of the assistants to "run" the practices and games. He showed some more energy recently, but the last two games were back to zombie-like.

It sucks to be sure, but he really should take a leave of absence and get well.

"Energy" is the most overrated element of coaching ever. There are tons of successful coaches that don't jump around and yell. Hell, Brad Stevens at butler says that his chill, low energy demeanor is one of the elements that makes his team successful under pressure!

Talking about energy is very skip bayless: clueless analysis by people that have nothing that's actually substantive to offer.

Dude, we don't have the bigs who can score posting up on the block w their back to basket, and outside of ET and Fab, we don't have any threats outside either. What i'm saying, is that when we're THAT limited in abilities, it means whenever we DO play elementary level of basketball 101, our chances of scoring are a heck of a lot lower than they should be for a D1 bball team. And that part IS a talent issue.
Moving forward, if we can get more effective scoring threats, particularly if we can also get more outside scorers who are effective, where you can still shoot from a high percentage far away from the paint, you are no longer limited to just this fundamental style of play, you can open it wide open and play/shoot a lot quicker.

And like I've said before genius I never will. I am not a graduate of Texas A&M University. Not a graduate of any university and not ashamed to admit it. I get by pretty good without college. Just love A&M sports and grew up half way between Cs and *** ville. You can take your Ag Tag and shove it right up your ass you little baby.

He is gonna get another year! Be patient. If he can coach we will find out next year! The two freshman guards have to start scoring from outside in order to open up what the do best, pass! Defenses are going to lay back until then. Not sure they are capable but Alex has the most potential. No fair weather fans yet.

I'm talking about his his complete lack of any energy and emotion influencing the energy of the players on the court. I'd bet money that Brad Stevens isn't a complete zombie all the time.

Graybeard I've seen all sorts of coaches have success. My guess is that what's going on in practice has far more to do with our struggles than his energy level on the court.

I don't know about anyone else (and I know that Auburn is no where near the higher echelons of College basketball), but it impresses me that we can play this game on the road with a game time decision to not play our most reliable play maker/scorer and we're actually winning. That's got to show effort, some team chemistry and very possibly, some real coaching.

From what we've seen, he has the exact same energy level in practice. It's insufficient to motivate those who are not self-starters.

I also suspect it's more than just during the game, which is why I think he should let someone else lead the team.

I know Junkhead is being sarcastic, but name me one successful college coach that isnt animated on the sidelines.

Jim Boeheim? Mike K? Roy Williams? Tom Crean? Brad Stevens? Mark Few? John Calipari? All of these coaches are screamers.

Lots of people like to make fun with the whole "screaming = winning" thing, which is just stupid.

John Wooden..................I believe he won a few national championships without yelling and screaming. The thing I like about Kennedy is he keeps an even keel and keeps his mind in the game. Another thing about Kennedy is that he treats his players like he would his sons. Just because he is quiet on the sidelines don't get the idea that he is not disciplined. He is a good man who is as upset as anyone when he loses. I don't know how he kept it together last year, but the man is courageous and wants to have a national contender here. If Texas A&M fans knew how much he loves this university and wants to take this program to the next level, a lot more would be more supportive. With two more wins this year we will make the NIT. Next year he will continue to improve.

Me, either. He is definitely a strong man ... courage and faith. Am so hoping this all works out for him and this team and future team. I don't think he is one who gives up easily. If so, that would have already happened. I, also, think if he feels he's lost the battle he would not continue. He'll know at the end of next season.
