Your last sentence is kind of scary CR.
Sherman has failed miserably at holding on to any recruits that decide to take a look at other options. I really hope Smith is done taking any visits because it's a long way until his signing day.

CR - I don't need to expend effort to sound or be intelligent. Clearly, you wouldn't know what that's like. It must be nice for you to be able to talk this crap on an anonymous board.

The point about the young man's age and maturity has nothing to do with the quality of the kid and I've never suggested that the kid won't be a good player.

I had read elsewhere that Smith had started school late and then been held back a year. It appears that this information was at least partly erroneous. The issue is solely about the likelihood of significant improvement relative to his peers.

It is a fact that there is a better chance that a 15 year old will make significantly greater fundamental speed, height, and weight changes than a 17 year old. There has been some discussion that the young man performed better as a freshman than he did as a sophomore. There could be a lot of reasons for that. Take it for what it is worth.

A mature kid has less potential for dynamic improvement than a less physically mature kid. It's not intelligently disputable. That's a generality and there obviously could be exceptions. Smith is big enough at RB already, the question involves the potential for dramatic improvement.

Virtually all of the top 150 players in the state get multiple D1 offers and I would be surprised if that were not the case with Smith.
From what I have read, Texas was not likely to offer.

The claim was made that this kid was the top RB for 2012. You sound like a guy that is just sharp enough to believe that.

I'm done on this thread. Good luck to the young man.

So what you're saying is, you're talking out of your ass. What's with all of this one or two years older crap? Folks on this thread that are obviously a lot closer to the kid than you believe he is of the correct age for grade level.

Of course he may have peeked early, he also may have a lot of room to improve. The point is you are spewing statements based on anything but the truth.

I think most on here are happy to have another solid back make a decision in our favor. If you want to make believe you know who the best running backs for 2012 are in 2010, go right ahead. My guess is you will be wrong---just like you are about his age.

I'm sure Mr. Smith is thinking the same thing about you right now.

Oh, and why wish me luck and not Dennis Smith?

Un, I agree about sticking to college sports. My unabridged Webster differs with yours. It states that hyperbole is intentional exaggeration. How ever you define it, I just think HTM was giving his opinion about the talent of Smith. Whether he is right or wrong remains to be seen. Our coaches sure think he is worth an early offer.

well...since it appears 2 of Smith's family or friends showed up and started posting on page 2...let me clarify something.

Most of what you are reading on this thread are longhorn trolls and longhorn idiots bashing you and attacking you and your family. By longhorn troll, I mean they'll pose as if they are aggie fans and end up getting in "fake" arguments with the known longhorn posters on here.

Please disregard them and don't associate them with Texas A&M University. You are a good talent, you made a good decision, and ultimately you are the only one that can decide how great you will be...not some sip trolls on the internet spamming an A&M recruiting board.

Oh BS. How about let us just be happy with the commit of a very good football player and welcome him. And these tu trolls talking out of their hyperbole would be raving about him if the commit had been to them. Just remember their bad mouthing Mr. Smith, and welcome to Aggieland.

Yall fail to mention the runningback out of Cuero.

IMO Jonathan Grey is the #1 back in the state with Trent Jackson behind him....then the rest
