Before the season started I said we would go 10-2, but that was with Ryan.
When Lee was named the starter I went with 9-3 60%/8-4 30%.
I disagreed with Miles naming Co-defensive coordinators, having a split command never works.
One has to take up for Miles for letting RP go, now many coaches would have done that?
Miles also did a few things wrong this season, one not playing the more talented player in many positions. Miles likes to play sr players. At one position he had an all world player on the bench until the last 4 games playing a for less talented player in that spot.
The Co-defensive coordinators have to be called out for the secondary play all season, which is also why Miles went with Lee at Qb. Not realizing the secondary was the weak link of the defense, and Lee burned them in the off season (which as you saw in the Bama, Florida, Georgia, Ole Miss, and Ark games meant little).
The DL was pressed all season because of the break down of that secondary and very poor LB play. That are some bright spots in the secondary, but when LSU has to used the nickel everyone was throwing against McCray spot or Hawkins. Jacob Cutrera was the weak link at LB and there were many blown coverages all season.
Patrick Peterson will be an all pro an All American before he leaves LSU.
LSU played to far off the wr's all season, and has to go back to Saban's CB on an island theory.
All being equal, LSU will be favorite to win the west next season.
