Sonny, how would you define "several"? Would "two" be "several"?

Other than coach stating we are banged up I haven't seen anything beyond the known on Eliza. Margot was back Sunday, had a beautiful first serve that got overpassed back to us (but we smashed it out of bounds).

Why are you thinking KS is out? That would probably have come up by now.

I heard there are three out but two of those three have not yet been mentioned here (Sharp is obviously the no-brainer). The plot thickens!

There has been zero mention of KS being out. Since you mentioned 3 being out I am assuming the 3 are Lacewell (has been out the last two matches), Sharp (out with ankle) & Djurdja (Did not travel with the team to Creighton U.)

I think Bowhunter is spot on.

Morrison is ill with something in the latest interview. Maybe a few of the girls are also suffering from it.

Also, turns out our depth is pretty damn good. With both MB'd out and Ring having an off night, we barely missed a beat against a good team.

The freshman was putting down some nice balls when she wasn't hitting tape. Fitch had a live arm tonight. Morris was clutch with the back row attacks. Really liking how Kirra is progressing. I love having a setter that will get in there and block some balls.

Fitch had a double double, Morris was a dig short of one I think.

Stanojevic started and rotated in and out often. Stowers played her tail off and had a great night.

Now I'm curious what the deal is with Castle and Applegate. In the press conference he said they would still be questionable for Sunday and wouldn't say they were sick or not. Even though he talked about other girls that were sick.

yeah I noticed that too. Sounds like something disciplinary to me but that's 100% a guess.

This sounds more like illness / injury if return timeline is questionable. I lean towards illness since they weren't on the sideline - we don't know. Reminder they are not required to disclose this kind of information, and may not wish to cross any lines on individuals privacy.

He did confirm Djurdja had been out due to illness, missing Creighton trip and just returned to practice yesterday.

Not disciplinary. I'd imagine they'd be back within a week (or two at worst).

Also, the four of you starring the post trying to hate on me for providing you with what we all eventually saw to be truthful info is more than a little disappointing. This thread is littered with wrong guesses and speculation (yet you take the shot at me). My posts are not guesses or speculation. I posted for the very reason to shoot some of the errant speculation down so incorrect rumors would NOT fly.

Having said all that, KLB93 is on the nose about the privacy stuff and you probably won't hear more unless Coach or one of the girls speak on it. Hopefully we get the girls back sooner rather than later.

To me, I just enjoy more interest in the program ramping up. Of course people are going to question unreleased news. Sonny literally just dropped a bomb and disappeared.

I'm glad it isn't disciplinary. Starting to really enjoy watching this team play and the new personalities.

Its a weird world with social media, rules, betting, etc.

Imagine how simple it would be if Castle (for example) posted up something like, sorry guys, I'm gonna miss XYZ game due to this bug going around campus. I'm taking my medicine and getting as much sleep to recover ASAP.

A poster simply said they heard a few players would be out (which proved to be correct). With respect, I thought your original reply was snarky when I first read it prior to knowing one way or the other. It's a message board for goodness sake.

I hear your point but maybe let it play out first before demanding censorship/post removal. It is a chat board after all.

I can't speak for others but I won't contribute info if I don't have good sourcing or if I think it might be harmful to the team/players. I think we are actually in agreement on not wanting bad info out there.

I do think it's awesome how the team and sport is growing in popularity and think it's important to keep people informed when breaking news pops up. You're not always going to get that from the official channels. People are excited about volleyball and anything (harmless) to get them more engaged is a good thing.
