Na the last 3 sets could have gone to either side. If she can't set those to the weak side then we need to see Lily getting more time

I have to take back what I said about Castle not being an offensive threat. She proved me wrong. Our middles were the reason we were in every set. When our passing broke down, it took out our middles. The last 2 sets our passing wasn't great. Musgrove wasn't an offensive threat most of the night, and that didn't help to open up our pins and middles for 3 rotations.

I think tonight you saw our youth. How many serves did we miss after a timeout or a big hard earned point? How many tight sets did we see in crunch time? Still very promising considering we only start 1 Sr, 1 Jr, and 4 Soph and a Fr.

Great fun match to be at even though we lost.

Even with the loss a match like this helps long term.

Watching those crazy digs by number 1 in person is fun.

Probably 3 net serves in a 15pt set is not the best strategy.

This team still struggles to win close sets in the red zone. So many matches could have won if we could close out sets like last year's team. Our unforced errors are a huge reason we are struggling right now against these good opponents. We need to find some NIL to portal their stud freshman because she is going to be elite for 5 years.

That was a fun match! This is what we've wanted in Aggieland for a long time. Really high level volleyball. Almost the entire game was neck to neck until one of the teams claimed a short run.

As expected, Fuerbringer caused us issues. Very smart player and knew exactly what to do with the ball at all times. We were late to the block many times and a lot of that was because we had to make sure she didn't dump. I don't know how to coach it but we need to be better anticipating the setter dump. It's been a problem all year.

That said, our blocking is still continuing to get better. Lots of good block touches and giving good lanes for the defenders in the back to make nice digs should one get through. It wasn't perfect but the number of great digs had to be higher in this game than any other games so far.

I thought our serving was really good but Wisc controlled their serve receive well. Good teams pass perfect. Unfortunately our serves started to slide down the stretch. I think 2nd set we had momentum with 23-22 and we commit the cardinal sin of a missed serve.

Our out-of-system bump sets still need a lot of work. They are all over the place.

Inability to close out wins late is likely due to inexperience, and that is fixable with time. It's a process that favors the team going forward.

This team will be an absolute nightmare to play against in November and December. They've already improved ton since Milwaukee.

And it is very nice to have confidence in a coaching staff that has proven they are great teachers. I look forward to watching all these players grow throughout this season just like I watched last years team get better every season.

The defense in this game by both teams was outstanding. I lost track of the times the team I thought would win the point did not for both squads.

I had zero expectations for this week after the past three weeks but this week ended up being a really pleasant surprise. Huge win over Stanford and were in position to sweep a rested Wisconsin team after we were playing in Orlando 48 hrs earlier. Giant steps forward for the team from last week IMO.

I don't know what got into Castle but sign me up for more of that!. If she can play with the aggressiveness she had against Wisconsin, we are going to be tough to deal with for anybody moving forward. Only things that irritated me against Wisco was the constant setter dumps, the service errors (especially in set 5), and serve-receive falling apart the last two sets (perhaps our schedule the previous 48 hrs had something to do with that).

I like where we are at MUCH better right now than where we were at this time last week. Got to keep that momentum moving forward!
