Our family is friends with the families of 2 players on the team. Saw them both before the game yesterday. One of them told me that since the Nebraska match over $2M has been donated to volleyball. I bet more more has come in since then. Not sure if it would go to NIL or for some needed volleyball-specific facility upgrades like locker room.

It is confirmed Lexi Guinn is in the portal. She was in the same recruiting class as Logan Lednicky, Ifenna Cos-Okpalla, and Ava Underwood. She came in 4 years ago and stuck it out since and got herself a national championship ring! I'll be rooting for her to find a great home and will support her at her next stop!

She has a new home but did not announce anything because she was focused on being a great teammate during this championship run.
Happy for her! She's been a great teammate, I can't wait till she announces! She'll always be an Aggie and a national champion in our hearts!
And for those just tuning in, yes the SEC is collapsing. So many teams are having lots of players leave! It's wild out here!

There's lot of rumors going around! Nebraska, Wisconsin, tu, SMU, Louisville, Penn State have been rumored as the big spenders. Some say Kennedy Martin left Florida for Penn State for around or over 500,000 last year. Torrey Stafford of tu left Pitt for a deal around there or upwards to $750,000. Again these are all just rumors, but if you want a first team all American caliber talent, that's the range! The normal going rate is most likely much much smaller!
It's nowhere near football or basketball numbers! But a lot of discussions go on behind the scenes with club coaches, agents, that's why some of these players find new homes fast.

I've been apart of some state championship teams and the one thing that was always vital was girls knowing their roles. Every single player is important, and helping each player understand that they play a factor into the team success ultimately means strong chemistry. Morrison seems to have mastered that. Thomas…… multi year starting libero for GCU, comes to A&M and becomes a serving specialist. One of the best. She did her role so well and her serving brought us to the promise land
Just a reminder those giant NIL numbers were all paid out before the House settlement went into effect. You can't just throw numbers at people now without it pulling from the allocated $22 million of revenue share money for ALL sports. You CAN provide additional NIL opportunities but they are subject to review and approval based on market value parameters. So unless your AD hates the football team, they are getting the largest portion of the pot followed by basketball. Whatever is left over gets split up by whichever sports the department prioritizes. Then it's up to the department to find more NIL deals that will pass review.

Wow, I really liked her game too. Wisconsin has Halle Thompson coming in, the #2 overall recruit. She's legit. From Texas. They have an all American transfer from Miami that had to redshirt this year. I'm not necessarily surprised, as they are always looking for the next best thing
There has got be a bunch of top girls who are nearly burnt out from a decade of non-stop volleyball who have watched our team play with so much passion and joy that they would want some of that themselves.
Who wouldn't want to play on this team? Maybe selfish players?
If we are tossing out money for stars, I'd rather spread the wealth on players with potential (which Morrison seems to have an eye for) than one big dog. It works for softball apparently ($1M at ttech) but less so for volleyball. Besides we have Stowers already!

This is very much up in the air at present and some schools seem to be completely ignoring it.
