Hoping to get some advice/reassurance about my girlfriend's case. She's not vaxxed, 28, no known comorbidities.
She started feeling bad on Thursday night and then had a fever of around 101 on Friday and felt pretty awful but unfortunately not sure how much she rested (I was out of town). She was stressed with work stuff which did not help. Then Saturday morning it got pretty scary. Fever of 103.8. I'm on my way back in to town while this is happening so needless to say, my drive is very stressful. She's too weak to take the at home Covid test but thankfully after a few hours, and after taking Advil, it's down to 98.9. Huge relief. She tests positive and gets an online urgent care appointment. Doctor is definitely concerned about the temp but doesn't really offer up anything else (I assume because it came down rather quickly) except a list of supplements to take (C, D, zinc, etc.). I got my hands on ivermectin for her (in the boat of maybe it works, maybe not, but I'll do anything to help her) as well. It's now been 48 hours plus since and she's feeling pretty good. She's gone from Advil/Tylenol alternating every 4 hours to just Advil every 8 and the highest her fever has been since 103.8 is 100.7. Most of the time she's 98 something. Decent cough but nothing crazy. Definitely not a dry cough. O2 levels have been very very good. 98 or higher each time. She's in decent spirits and sounds and looks pretty well. Just gets tired.
If it wasn't for the extremely high fever, I'd be more relaxed, but I just can't shake the anxiety. Hoping to get thoughts on if anything more should be done/if the fever is still cause for concern even though it came down and stayed down.
TIA
