From the data I have seen, it's not even close.
TMC for Houston area showed highest single weekly # of cases but hospitalizations were 30-40% of the Delta peak. So certainly going up (as noted by doctors here) but not nearly where we were, which is great news.

And that of course doesn't take in to account the hospitalization for vs. with COVID argument of course
