Merry Christmas to all of you, today my dad tested positive for covid. He's in his early 50s. He got the initial two does of the phizer vaccine but hasn't gotten the booster yet. He started feeling bad yesterday morning and has mostly had just bad body aches and chills. The doctor prescribed him z pack. Is there anything I should get him? I asked him if he wanted me to go get him vitamin D, zinc, etc but he said he was ok. I'm not too worried considering he most likely has the omicron variant and it doesn't seem to be as bad as the delta variant.

Look into monoclonal antibodies if he's high risk.

Read Dr Revs supplement plan. I have been on it since the start of the pandemic.

This and try to get him to follow it, it may help him feel better faster. I did my yearly blood test the last few years and my vitamin D level was way too low.

Just wanted to send a quick update

Christmas Eve got rough. We thought we were going to have to take him to the hospital based on the way he was acting. We ended up not because he personally said he didn't need to and his oxygen levels were still good. We went ahead and got him HCQ today and he said he was feeling better tonight after taking it.

HCQ requires zinc to work. Also hit the vitamin D. Go read Dr. Revs posts.

Good luck, praying for your dad to get better soon.

Fluids, Vitamin C, Zinc, Multivitamin, Rest

Don't know his history so I recommend he consult his PCP if there's anything else he might need. But the stuff above should be a baseline regimen.
