He basically got the Joe Rogan treatment, including ivermectin, and is feeling fine. He obviously can afford the best doctors, and they prescribed ivermectin and all the other known meds.

Ivermectin works. Especially when taken with the other stuff readily available. Rodgers chose to get covid and beat it with awesome, safe therapeutics instead of getting the vaccine. Now he's got the best immunity possible, natural immunity.

That's my choice, too. At least it should be.

So crazy. Aaron Rodgers gets the best healthcare money can buy from probably incredible doctors. It includes ivermectin. Non-doctor geniuses on this board still talk down ivermectin.

At least you didn't call it horse paste like most of the sheep.

I'll be looking forward to Rodgers' return from this deadly virus that he got over in a day and a half... WITH IVERMECTIN.

It's a fair question.

These guys can afford the best doctors and they are prescribing ivermectin. Why is this not being investigated?

Lots of celebrities have the best doctors money can buy. They get what's called concierge medicine. One of the doctors on here was talking about it. People like Michael Jackson, Elvis, and others all had the best they could buy. I think Michael Jackson's doctor made like 150k a month. At that salary he's gotta be really good.

Weird my primary care physician that is not the best money can buy gave me hydroxychroquin, a z-pak, and cough syrup and I beat it too without being vaccinated back in late 2020. It's like being a healthy human in general helps make getting over this virus easier. But go get the jab right?

Good for him.

How about in America we make our own choices regarding our bodies?

I got vaccinated but don't care what others do. It's their decision not mine or yours.

And when taken by a young, elite professional athlete with high aerobic capacity who has virtually no baseline risk of severe disease to begin with

Oh, so Rodgers is safe from covid anyway? Then why mandate a garbage vaccine for him to take?

Again, he has access to the BEST doctors. They prescribed ivermectin among other things. The RESULT is Rodgers is better in a day or two.

And people on this board want to trash ivermectin and champion a vaccine that is MUCH LESS effective than advertised a year ago and MUCH LESS SAFE than ivermectin.

You'll still be trashing ivermectin when the gestapo mandates your 8th booster and your $500 pfizermectin pill.

For all intents and purposes, yes

Quote:

There's nothing wrong with the vaccines, but mandating elite athletes to get them is dumb.

I have no idea who gave him ivermectin, but Rodgers was going to be fine no matter what he did.

Quote:

The evidence for vaccine efficacy in preventing severe disease and death is overwhelming, while the evidence for even a modest benefit of ivermectin is lacking. Both are extremely safe and incredibly unlikely to cause severe adverse reactions, statistically speaking.

Sorry, forgot the sarcasm tags.

Basically, when you're paying someone 150,000 a month, do you really think they're going to say "no" when you ask them for something? It's the same reason small, free standing ERs and urgent cares give out antibiotics for viral infections - they know you want it, and if you don't get it, you're just going to take your money elsewhere.

Infection_Ag11, which celebrity do you work for? Because if you're not hired by a celebrity you're obviously not one of the best doctors money can buy, so your "medical opinion" is not needed here. (sarcasm, incase not obvious)

I'm happy your parents both did well, but I have no reason to believe based on the current evidence that the ivermectin had anything to do with it. They recovered most likely because they were always going to recover.

My only point with the original post was to point out how extra silly this particular anecdote was given that Rodgers, unlike your parents, has virtually no chance of dying from covid regardless of what he is treated with. You can count the number of young professional athletes who have died from COVID globally on two hands. They have so much pulmonary reserve and such robust end organ function that it's just not likely to happen.

But the gov knows better what's good for his health.

So they torture him with daily testing and isolation to try and get him to take a vax he doesn't need.

It's simply because I understand that anecdotal data is not meaningful in assessing efficacy, especially for a low mortality illness

I'm assuming this argument is in response to him saying "low mortality illness." A small percentage, when applied to a large group of people, can result in what is considered a large number.

A small percentage chance, when applied to a single person, is still a small percentage chance.

Vaccination brings the large number of deaths and serious illness down. Anecdotal stories of ivermectin usage for individuals do not prove that the small percentage chance of serious illness for that individual went down.

When the number is 99.8% it could all be anecdotal.

I'll go for the old, fat, and diabetic. That's probably 99.8% of the .2%

When I got it there weren't vaccines or therapeutics. I drank beer for 2 weeks. Just as effective as the jab or horse paste for me.
