I fumed for the 45ish minutes of my time, including driving and the 15 min wait after both shots. I also was foggy for a few hours the next day after shot two.

I'm angry about stopping by the doctor to get the flu shot yet again when my kids get theirs.

I get equally angry at the two dental appointments I go to every year which honest cause me more discomfort than all the shots I've ever gotten in total in my life.

...And the fluids. Every year I go in for a physical they are taking my blood and my urine. WHAT ARE THEY DOING WITH IT ALL???!!!!

Are they holding it for ransom in the future? Secret government funded experiments? Or is it just because they can and want to 'control' us?

They are building clones of us for research purposes. Oh, they'll say it's for noble causes like that, so they can look into creating bioengineered human organs for transplants, etc but it's not a big leap to see that replicants are a real option down the road.

I would keep an eye on my credit score if I were you. This thing goes deeper than any of us realize.

Great. Lab grown doppelgangers.

I remember a somewhat big fuss over the HPV vaccine when it came out. Perry tried to mandate girls to get it before 6th or 7th grade, but there was a big fuss where people thought that would encourage premarital sex. From what I have read, the HPV vaccine has actually worked to reduce the incidence of several different cancers and it's given to both boys and girls now. But, Texas has a fairly low vaccination rate for HPV and one of the highest rates of cervical cancer. In contrast, something like 80% of adolescents in Australia are vaccinated for HPV and they don't really have very many cases of cervical cancer there anymore. I know a young woman from my high school who died of cervical cancer in her early 20s - the vaccine wasn't readily available at that point that she had it. Crazy to think how far we've come with these medical advancements, yet we haven't been able to take full advantage of them with the difficulty in getting people to want to use them.

I wish there were some way to convey to you how idiotic this is in a way that you could understand. You are arguing with a doctor who has treated numerous Covid patients and has obviously stayed up to date on the science regarding this. He might as well be having this conversation with my five year old.

I'm curious how 2nd gen vaccines are going to be treated. At some point they will have to treat these current vaccines like the inferior products they are. It will be sacrilegious to covidians.

Being thankful that trump(PBUH) got us 3 great vaccines doesn't mean that people will be upset when a better one comes out.

When a better one comes out, that doesn't require n+1 boosters, I'm guessing John Doe standing in line, wearing his mask, for booster number 3 (shot 5), will be PO'd he bowed at the vaxxine altar the second the TV told him to do so.

Yes. I fume with anger at the fact that I got last year's flu vaccine, every fall when I get the current one.

I'm not anything special. Every doc that works in an ER or hospital has been inundated with COVID for a year and a half. None of us learned anything about it in med school or residency, so we're all scouring our resources looking for whatever information we can find. We pair that with our direct experience taking care of these people.

Even is Rand Paul is a world class opthalmologist, he doesn't take care of sick people. He can read about COVID care all day, but it doesn't matter if you're not actually treating those patients. Just like I can spend a year and a half reading about cataract surgery, but that doesn't mean you should let me do it.

It's a general good rule of thumb to not take medical advice from a politician. Still waiting to review the evidence of molnupiravir, but I'm not sure I understand this obsession with comparing ivermectin to molnupiravir. They are not similar whatsoever.
well at least they are not spreading information that Viagra kills covid.. can you imagine if everyone was on Viagra all the time, sheeesh, screw the covid, can you imagine going to the gym?

I get it. I'm an anesthesiologist and about as far from being an expert on all this as I can be. I got pulled into the ICU taking care of mostly Covid patients for a few days, but thankfully I work at a large teaching center where they were able to pair us non-intensivists with an upper level pulmonary/critical care fellow. When it came to Covid specific treatments, I just followed the protocols setup by our ID and Critical Care departments.

My comment to the idiot was born out of frustration. I have read a number of your posts, especially in the R&P forum, and it is obvious you have stayed up to date on this. I'm so tired of non-medical people thinking they know enough to have something of value to add in these conversations. I have a friend who sells computer software for a living create a documentary on why one should refrain from the vaccine. The arrogance, hubris, and stupidity that has been on display on social media, including TexAgs, has astounded me.

You are more forgiving than me. I'd have written them out of my life.
