Seeing the decline of Clay Travis has been depressing. Was once a very entertaining sports writer, and he has now gone so far down the covid conspiracy anti-vaxx rabbit hole. He's denied covid since the second it hit the news and last year said it would be gone by end of summer (among many other falsehoods). He's basically a sportsy Alex Jones at this point.
Ha. If anything Clay has been open minded and truth seeking, and has helped to shine a line on the insanity. Like many of us, he is for truth and does not know where to find it because of information needing to fit certain narratives. He advocates for the vaccine, recommends both his parents get it (in their 60s), etc. Wanting to evaluate other perspectives, especially when there is such a push to group think poles, is not indicative of being red pilled by the extreme. Guy voted for Obama twice and then Gary Johnson before last year.
I really dont care who he voted for in the past. He's a major grifter whose audience is Trump supporters who like football. He has been wrong on almost everything he's said about covid and has peddled all of the ridiculous misinformation talking points since March 2020.
It's one thing to disagree with people on covid policy, it's another to be in a constant state of denial about things. I'm pretty sure he's never so much as admitted that covid is a serious problem.
And now he has an anti-vaxxer on his show to make a bunch of misleading claims and further push demonstrably false anti-vax views among his listeners (not that they werent already, just look at the comments on the youtube video). I've got more than a few issues with him.
