That is a PCR study where presumably many naturally immune people made it into the "vaccinated, no prior infection" group. Antibody testing studies are much more reliable as they can identify those with both natural nucleocapsid protein and vaccine spike protein.

agreed, it's not perfect, but it's the only study i've seen that actually did any forward looking testing to compare natural immunity to vaccine immunity from an efficacy standpoint.

While I am probably a bit more on the "concerned" end of the spectrum when it comes to COVID than much of the TexAgs posting base, I whole heartedly agree that not thoroughly investigating and accounting for natural immunity is a huge mistake and disservice to the public.

I posted a plot on the "daily charts" thread that I made for Harris county, and depending on the assumptions you make, natural immunity likely accounts for 1/4-1/3 of the total immunity in the county. Maybe as much as half if you also include the "vaccinated, with prior infection" group. That's a big deal from the public health implications.

Same. Probably 30-35 people between 35-50. All at least relatively healthy who got it and it was extremely mild. Same for me and I haz the fats. But good BP (130'ish/70'ish consistently), no diabeetus, and stay active.

The two people I've known who died:
-50'ish, fat, diabetic, smoker
-45, healthy, outdoor job as a fishing guide. But he was also a dumbass and didn't go to the doctor until he'd had severe symptoms for almost 2 weeks.
