What's political about being skeptical that someone actually said this and saying it sounds like a line that would be in a ****ty TV show? It sounds ridiculous.

It's not even a quote that she gave the journalist during an interview, it's one that she posted on her facebook feed. And everyone knows everything that is said on facebook is 100% true.

No gown? How often is she cleaning that white coat with long sleeves?

Just to be clear, was she lying or exagerrating? Was it the way she went about it? Not a spokesman?

I have been using this for the last 15 months, ever since we couldn't get N95s at the beginning of COVID

It's comfortable for extended use, and the filters are P100 instead of N95. They have a hard plastic cover that lets me use disinfecting wipes on them after dealing with a confirmed covid case, and I put them in a UV sterilizer routinely.

They do require modifying. I have sealed off the exhaust port and removed the flaps between mask and filters, so that I breathe in and out exclusively through the filters.

They do retain moisture from my breath like crazy, however.

I would imagine that she is taking heat from admin as a hospitalist she is most likely employed by the hospital or a contractor for the hospital and as such as part of her contract has an obligation to direct media inquiries to the hospital public relations department.

The veracity of her story doesn't matter. Not following your contractual obligations does.

Most hospitals have a social media coordinator. Bringing attention to yourself in this way or relating personal anecdotes with details is frowned upon.

I try not to give identifying information about my workplace or role there even on here.

If these patients are still able to speak and "beg" for her to give them the shot then why is she putting them on the vent? I'm not a doctor, but seems a bit premature to me to put someone on the vent if they still have the lung capacity to beg their doctor for a vaccine
