While the politicians are the ones who actually order the mask mandates and shutdowns, the unvaccinated are the ones getting covid and thus giving the politicians the ammunition to Reinstate mask mandates and shutdowns

The refusal by some to be able to get the vaccine for themselves, but then move on with their life and stop worrying whether others get it is a strange one to me. Death is and has always been all around us. Those dying of covid now are extremely low, and will continue to be. Not much more so than a normal respiratory year. If any more at all. Respiratory deaths take over 200k lives every year, and covid will no longer exceed those numbers.

9,000 Americans die a day, and we are suppose to freak out, and not end this on our own, over 250 from covid?

And this is coming from a person who got vaccinated early on, and even suggested it to a few of my friends. They said no. Okay, moving on.

It's going to take the chicken littles and tyrants getting shouted down, voted out, and generally overruled.

Not in Texas, period. 100% no lockdowns. Masks might make appearances here and there in certain areas like liberal Austin or Houston, but likely still be unenforceable.

So even if you're right, at least there's that consolation prize

Outside of the deepest blue pockets, there is absolutely not widespread support and understanding amongst *vaccinated* people to "sacrifice" for the good of people who could get vax'd and choose not to
