So my wife got diagnosed today (36 yo) and ran through some research of Reveille's Facebook posts and others. This is what she came up with as recommendations on what to take.

Is there anything you would add/take away/modify to this list?

once daily:
1 aspirin (325mg)
1-2 quercetin (250-500mg)
1-3 Co-q-10 (100-300mg)
1 Zinc (up to 40mg/220mg sulfate)
3 vitamin d3 (5000-6000 iu)
1 vitamin c (twice daily) (1000mg)
1 NAC (600mg) (twice daily)
1 Pepcid (twice daily)

twice daily:
1 vitamin c twice daily (1000mg)
1 NAC (600mg) twice daily
1 Pepcid twice daily

at bedtime:
1-2 (5-10mg) melatonin at bedtime

this is what rev said:

Vit D 20,000 to 50,000IU now then 4,000IU per day

So we read that, but then the container we bought was 2000iu per pill, so it would be 25 pills. Seriously do that?

Why zinc sulfate?

The form of zinc that seems most useful for rhinoviruses is zinc gluconate. Whether or not it is also the best form for covid is probably not known -- I've read that some think zinc acetate may be better for covid.

We did. Re-read it several times, had my husband check my math. I know, crazy. But we weren't taking D regularly before diagnosis.

It's sometimes called the "Vitamin D Hammer".

If you do it every day, Vitamin D toxicity could be a problem.

The only cases I've heard of people actually getting Vitamin D toxicity were the results of manufacturer mistakes where the manufacturer's quality control was way off and they were giving 100,000 IU doses instead of what they were supposed to have. Even then it apparently took multiple doses before it showed up.

I've taken 5,000 IU per day and sometimes worry about getting too much. The next time I need some, I will probably switch to 2,000 IU per day.

It's too bad they don't test for serum levels of Vitamin D when they are doing normal bloodwork.

I'd up the zinc to 75-100 daily being symptomatic. There are posts that mention this, and that amount is also on evms.edu The "up to 40" is what is recommended as a supplement prior to being covid positive.

Asking, but it came from some other research. Here is the first result I found searching zinc sulfate COVID.

Interesting.

I may have to get some zinc sulfate the next time I see it in the stores and save for covid exposures.

So the kids and I tested negative earlier today, though I understand it can be false.

Should I be taking a version of the OP drug list?

Haven't seen it mentioned here, but I've read articles about Benadryl possibly helping, although it stated in one article that it was tested in doses higher than what is on the label. There were a couple of antihistamines they researched as well.

Get stronger pills. They make a 50,000IU
pill that many people take weekly including myself. Throughout the pandemic I would take an extra 4,000IU pill on days I saw Covid positive patients in the office.

Vitamin D toxicity is possible but very unlikely. I have some elderly patients taking 50,000IU every 4 days and they are still not high.

Thanks for doing this. I get lots of messages asking over and over again.

Change Quercetin to 1g twice per day if positive.
Zinc 50mg twice per day if positive

Other dosages are sufficient for prevention

Thank you for all of the detail you put out, my TexAgs addiction and my wife's patience / need allowed for it to come together.

Will do on the 50K

I thought about getting higher iu pills, but that makes the dosage later on problematic. I just took the 25 pills.

I would have the adults start taking it, especially if you tested because you're experiencing symptoms. Even if you don't have it now, they'll strengthen your immune system in the event of an upcoming exposure. They'll also help you fight off any other infection you might have, which is the case I assume if you're experiencing covid-type symptoms.

Did you test negative on the rapid test? If so, are they also submitting a lab test?

(not a doc) I would wait on the mega dose of the D and take the rest. Husband and I did the supplement thing since it was first published. Switched from zinc since it caused gastro distress but remained on the rest. Added the D when we tested positive.

Middle of the day (ie. around noon).

This time of year, it may not help a whole lot since the atmosphere filters out the UVB strongly. According to one researcher on the subject, if you live further north than Atlanta, you probably won't make Vitamin D in the winter.

300mcg Vitc
40mcg Vitd
25mg Zinc

Plus a couple cups of green tea a day

So me and the two kids (6&7) got tested on Monday again, and all came back positive yesterday.

I'm getting on the regimen consistently now. My taste is down about 75-80% I would estimate but no other major symptoms.

Question - would you provide any medication for the kids?

No just Flintstones vitamin should be sufficient for kids their age.

The loading dose of D kept my husband and me from getting very ill. And we are in our 70's with health problems.

Today an 8 pack is about $25.

On the Vitamin D3, it says 3 instead of 1 like the others. Does this mean you take 15-18,000 iu Vitamin D3 daily, or three tablets that total 5000-6000 iu daily?
