I've lost 20lbs since stopping going out to eat a month ago, and also went semi vegetarian and stopped drinking. I started drinking again tho - ha
can't help but wonder if many are going to come out healthier because of this. Personal hygiene habits have changed for the better, I see many more people out walking and exercising than before.
Sure it could be because there's no more team sports and gyms are closed, but i'm seeing entire families out walking.

Was hoping this thread wouldn't slow down, and would continue to see positives.
I finally have a window in my office (it's been 15+ years since working anywhere with a window).
Enjoying taking walks outside and the dog absolutely loves this - walks are his favorite thing in the world and he gets 3-4 a day now.
Lunch at the kitchen table beats eating at my desk.
Gotten yard work and spring cleaning done that I haven't been able to get to.
Lots of great family time with the kids.

Saw where this was posted as a summation of a statement from the White House task force update:
" People who do not have symptoms are not asking to be tested, following guidance. Even so, 93% of test results are coming back negative, the large majority of which were performed on people with symptoms."
That would seem positive to me unless I'm misunderstanding.

If you were to remove Washington, which was the earliest impacted area in regards to death, the mortality rate for the US is already below 1% and that is without knowing the true denominator, which would hopefully lower it even more.
If the mortality rate falls below 1% that would be good news...

All convenience stores are good here in Virginia. 18 wheelers rolling and in abundance. Hospital parking lot normal as of 330 p.m. today. Plenty of folks shopping normal no panic. Can anyone update on 18 wheelers in your areas? Thanks.

My friend is a 59 year old male, no prior health problems.

This thread proves that there is a significant subset of users who are literally only focusing on the alarming news. There's 3-4 people specifically who are absent on this thread, yet seem to post every 2-3 posts on every other thread.
Who is this Gregory Rigano guy that said they have announced a 100% cure to the virus as of this morning? Is this legit at all? He was just on Tucker Carlson.
This board is like a magnet for self-loathers and paranoid prepper nutcases, so it should come as no surprise that they are all but rooting for societal collapse.
