Doc. I live in an active 55 complex, but most of the people who attend functions are over 65. After 7 months of no events, there was a meet and greet for the new manager the 13th. Most residents attended. Today we get a note on the door that Tarrant County Health has confirmed a covid case in the apt complex. I know the management can't tell us who it is, so no way to know if they were at the event or not. I was. There was food and adult beverages, and although I kept mask on except for food and drink and did not linger there, many were not putting the mask back on after eating. I am concerned this could be a spreader event if the ill person attended.
Long story I know, but should I start taking more than the normal amounts you suggest for Covid. I am taking everything you recommend once or twice as per your recommendation. But now that there is some chance I was exposed, is there more that I can do?
The letter suggested we talk to our doctor about this, and you are my doctor right now.
I am 72, overweight, female, and other than a bad hip, active and feel great. I am still teaching and wear a mask at all times there and stay six feet away. When I can't distance I wear a mask and a face shield.
