Per the Mayor's conference just now, anyone with water in thier home in our area is mandatory evac and they will start shutting down power to all flooded homes tomorrow morning.

Non-flooded homes in the area are ok to stay and should have power throughout

Been at wilchester & hermitage all day, really sucks to see all the houses but awesome to see everyone coming together

Been ripping carpet all the livelong day

We parked on boheme, most from there to memorial looked pretty good. That intersection of boheme/wilchester was the loading zone and last dry spot as everything from hermitage on was boat/wade access only.

it;s really deep between kirkwood and DA. I wouldn't drive it unless in a truck.

I would guess it's a problem near Eldridge but haven't been over. Eldridge near westheimer is still a mess.

Eldridge only has water north of Enclave and at Westheimer. Everything else is clean and passable at this point.

Yes, only if you have water in your house. In theory, they are going to start turning off the power on those houses.

If they do that, I hope they can be that accurate. I am about 3 houses down from flooded homes and am concerned they will shut off a much larger grid.

Looks like they did a manual survey today and are basing decisions on that. If in error, you can call Centerpoint and let them know that your house is ok and they should be able to restore power.

Dumb question. Still no way north of briar forest besides 610 and etc. Kirkwood and dairy ashford still looking closed on waze. Drive Texas not working for me.

610 is best. Chimney Rock is also open.

Woodland park wasn't quite passable 24 hrs ago. Havent checked this morning but I don't think those streets just south of BF will be clear quite yet.

Friends drove from Kirkwood i10 to my house at bf and Hayes area this morning by 610. Took maybe 45 min. Wasn't bad at all.

Drove it while you were posting. Woodland Park is passable all the way to Briar Forest, but stay to the inside lane. Inwood and Briar Rose are definitely passable for full size trucks and I made it through in a Nissan Frontier, which has a little less ground clearance. Stay in the middle. I haven't seen a car attempt it yet, but trucks and SUV's seem to be ok.

Can also go north on Shepherd. Google said that Voss was open, but the highway sign on I-10 said Voss south was still closed.

Voss is closed between memorial and woodway where it crosses buffalo bayou. That's 1/4 mile from our house. Right now we can get to I-10 via memorial to Voss or memorial to san felipe and then up N Piney Point. We can get to 610 via memorial to san felipe.

Any updates on west houston road closures to get you across the bayou? Waze was trying to take me via Kirkwood this morning, but I wasn't trusting it yet. From the FWS site, it looks like Dairy Ashford is less than 2 ft from being back within its banks though, so I guess it isn't completely out of the question that these roads may open up soon.

Across the bayou at what part of town? Voss is still closed between memorial and san felipe. San felipe is open between Voss and memorial.

Tanglewilde from Westheimer to Briar Forest and Briar Forest goes over the bayou before it merges wit Memorial. Fondren Piney Point is open. Both apparently are very crowded. I'm using Westpark toll into 610 or 59 at Shepherd as my crossings

I think they still have to do some structural inspections before we will be allowed to drive on the bridges.

Briar Forest is open all the way to the Beltway now, not sure if that has been the case but this morning is the first time I've seen it.

Just drove back to some houses in Lakeside estates that are very close to the bayou. Most the water has receded, a lot more than I planned on. I assume they backed off the release rate a decent amount.
