Briar Grove Park resident on the south side of briar forest. Streets have filled up a few times since Saturday but haven't seen any house flooding on the south side. The north side streets that border the bayou are getting flooded according to a neighborhood FB group.

RandyAg - I drove down Westheimer to the Royal Oak HEB this morning and that section of Kirkwood looked fine. I might go out tomorrow morning and can swing by and take a look if you would like.

I am going to try to head that way at some point if the waters recede, but I would appreciate a quick report! Thanks.

Randy, you are fine as of mid afternoon. And unless they have a catastrophic release into buff bayou it should be the same in the AM. Just not sure how you will make it in....

I grew up in Village Place and lived there 1974-1988 . We were right next to Lakeside Country Club. My Dad was a member.

I'll try and take my dog Crew for a car ride that way in the am to see how it looks. My wife brought him in for his annual checkup on Friday. He's the big black dog that would rather be "dead" than a longhorn.

Didn't end up going home, but we did have a crew take I-10 to 610 to Westheimer to get across the bayou, so that should work. The 610 frontage roads over the bayou appear to be closed this morning, so you have to be on the 610 main lanes to get across.

Not there currently but getting updates from our team. Water was up from Buffalo Bayou to Memorial Drive. Pines, Somerset Place, Legends Lane, etc. had flooding again yesterday after it happened Sunday. The Prosperity bank had a couple inches of water.

Water is receding slightly in BGP North this morning.

Hi Ags! We are living in Singapore, but have our entire home contents stored at 9960 Buffalo Speedway in Westheimer Transfer and Storage. Anyone know if the building was flooded? If so, to what degree (1st story, completely covered, etc). Thank you so much for any information you are able to provide.

As of 7:30 am , Dairy Ashford & Whittington were clear. D-A clear from Westheimer to Briar Forest.

I live in Ashford Village, and I took a "tour" this morning, 7:15 to 8:15 am to check circulation routes. Let me know if you need more info.

Westmere @ Nova is over the curb, but may be navigable.

Briar Forest navigable to Hwy 6.

Hwy 6 blocked by Police Unit @ South of Memorial.

Eldridge Parkway & Kirkwood blocked by police units south of Memorial. I am assuming the same for Wilcrest because of Bayou crossing. Cannot enter BW8 North from Briarforest - cones. Terry Hershey park runs along Buffalo Bayou, so the neighborhoods just North of Brairforest either have high water, or will have it if it continues rain and Addicks releases.

I-10 does not appear to be reachable from the south, and Houston Transtar map shows ramps are closed. (a friend of my wife indicated no access to to I-10 from the south all the way into Chimney Rock

Eldridge, Dairy Ashford, Kirkwood and Wilcrest were clear from Westheimer to Briar Forest.

Westheimer is clear east of BW8, as is Briarforest.

Steve's (formerly Denny's on Westheimer) had cars in the lot, and lights on. If you prefer McDonalds, you are out of luck.

I haven't gone South of Westheimer yet. Transtar map indicates 59/69 has closed on/off ramps at BW8. I'll see if I can find a navigable path.

Addicks has reached 108', a key elevation for uncontrolled flood water release. News conference indicated uncontrolled release (due to spillover) is happening.

The side canal @ Crystal Hills has risen about 1' since yesterday, but if Buffalo surges from Addicks release, it could back up and spill over.

Essentially, we can move around, although few commercial businesses are open, we can't get out of Houston to the north. Keeping fingers crossed on Addicks spill.

How much flooding are we talking about in our end with Addicks and Barker? Any idea?

The press conference said uncertain. Little to no impact possible, except around Beltway 8 and I-10. They are reviewing models and may have something at the midday or evening press conferences. Overflow peak being later this week may be offset by the natural decline of watershed drainage.

They keep saying they expect no changes to bayou west of bw8. They will maintain current bayou flood levels.

God let's hope that doesn't happen. When you say I10 and BW8, are you talking about the northern side of I10 and Western? Or it flowing over them?

They expect water to flow south down brittmore, across/under i10, to rummel Creek

Southeast if Buffalo Bayou rises. Apparently the north flow to the east stops at Brittmore or Beltway 8 and heads south to the bayou.

Thanks for posting that. I used to work for the owners of those Eldridge buildings, so I sent it along to them.

The buildings seem ok for now. I do know one of the building engineers lost his whole home over the weekend, though.

The expectation is that the Addicks overflow will add 4500 cfs of water, with most infiltrating to Buffalo Bayou (eventually after going down streets). Some may make it to White Oak, but that's still uncertain.

For reference both Addicks and Barker are controlled releasing 3500-3700 cfs each with plans to grow that to 4000 cfs. Currently that makes up about 10% of the water in Buffalo Bayou. The uncontrolled release from Addicks could add another 10%, but, again, the effect on on water elevation is uncertain.

How stable are the dams themselves with all this water pouring and stacking up?

Anybody have water level updates for
Bramblewood between Green Park and Pinesap, just west of dairy Ashford?. Westchester subdivision.

No water in street just a block east of dairy ashford just south of briar forest.

Anyone know of shelters south of the bayou that need help? Got a few work things to finish up but got two hands, a pack of beef jerky, and ready to work.
