Coming from beltway 8, Can you get past highway 6 on I-10? It shows to be flooded, but I'm not sure if the flooding spills onto I-10 or is just on highway 6

Had a buddy come get me, looks like it's gotten a little better to get out now. Got back from Mason and Westpark helping people get out of Canyon Gate not too long ago. Grabbing some food and trying to see if there's anywhere else I can go help out this afternoon.

Yes, I just drove from Mason inbound to Bunker Hill, turned around and came back I10 to Mason.

Light traffic, and cruised at 80mph with no issues.

I left Nottingham Country a few hours back. Main ramp to 99N was closed as were most of the northern ramps, but the feeder was open. There was minor standing water northbound a few miles north. Southbound was flooded. This was three hours ago so I expect it might be a little worse now. Just trying to give info.
290 was good to go all the way to Austin west of 99.

Also there were people driving both direction on the northbound side of 99 so be on alert if you're going to do something stupid like me and get on.

Anyone have any updates on Pine Lakes? I have lots of family there in one place, and would like to figure out if they are in any danger?

Anyone been able to get out of Katy completely?

In-laws already evacuated their house that backed up to george bush park, but are now in an area that may be affected if barker reservoir comes up as high as they are forecasting.

They are currently at Fry in between Kingsland and Highland Knolls.
I spent several hours rescuing folks by boat from that area, Fry Rd near Westheimer Parkway in several of the Kelliwood neighborhoods there. Your in-law's house is already under water. The location on Fry between Kingsland and Highland Knolls is also in the target. Are they doing okay there? Can they get out of there to Cinco Ranch HS?

They got nervous about the house they ended up going to because it is around 103' on the elevation map, didn't want to get stranded there.

My dad ended up picking them up and taking them a little further west into Cinco Ranch near Fulshear where they should be alright for the rest of this.

My in-laws house is in the little pocket of homes near Willowfork backing up to George Bush Park, Barker Elevation map showing it at 98'-99'. Really not looking forward to seeing the aftermath...

Can I help any? Do you know if they need anything at the Chevron or Shell stations on Mason and the tollway?

I can't speak to those locations but per the KISD Facebook posts, they are still in need of supplies at the high school shelters - Cinco Ranch and Morton Ranch. Stuff like towels, pet supplies, air mattresses, cots...

Went to help for a few hours at westheimer and fry. It was amazing to see the events there. Amazing seeing the whole neighborhood underwater. Literally about 80-100 boats lined up pulling people out of the houses and bringing them to McMeans JH. From There they would get a ride to exley down the street as a staging area. There seemed to be more volunteers and boats than people being rescued. The outpouring of generosity has been inspiring. volunteers were being turned away at the HS because they had so many. An awesome sight to behold.

Save your energy. The hard part is going to start in a few days when the water recedes. There will be plenty for volunteers to do then. And it won't be pretty.

Don't you have a Melvin Cerny monument you should be working on? It's not going to construct itself.

Just received a message from a friend that Houston PD is requesting immediate assistance from boats and high clearance vehicles around Memorial City Mall in Katy
